Good TV, beware of manufacturer marketing

It gets bright enough - more than most TVs in the market - to pleasantly enjoy HDR content. However, coming from a NU8000 from 2019, I'm not completely blown away, and think it's a decent upgrade at best. My biggest gripe with the tv is the solar charging remote. Samsung markets the remote as having the ability to be charged via usb-c and also through a solar panel on the back of the remote that can be charged via indoor light or sun light. While this is a very intelligent and thought-out feature and technology, it was very poorly implemented because it DOES NOT WORK and it's only a GIMMICK! I've attempted to charge the remote with indoor light by leaving it upside and exposing the solar panel to bright light, even holding it up to the room light. I have also tried charging the remote with sun light all to no avail. I contacted customer support and was advised to reset the tv and reset the remote, which did nothing. What's worst, I researched online and came across various community forums and video platforms where comment after comment complained that the solar feature on their remote also does not work and it is always stuck on the same percentage unless charged via usb-c. For some the remote was replaced by Samsung only to have the same issue. Based on those reviews and my own experience, it is pretty clear Samsung lied about this gimmicky feature. I would have preferred for them to just say to charge the remote via usb-c without making customers believe that we are getting a great feature. Now Samsung may respond to this review by providing a BS response, but don't be fooled and just know that if you purchase this TV, it is very likely you will be charging the remote via usb-c and the solar charging will not work. Shame on you Samsung!

Superior video some annoyance with audio

We also bought a Samsung soundbar and there’s a subtle annoyance of audio voices not be in lip-sync with video with hdmi arc and software has adjustments for this, but we haven’t fully tweaked perfect lip-sync.

Thank you for choosing Samsung's QN90A TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sound delays you are experiencing. Please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1901.0 which includes updates to address any lip sync or audio delays that may be occurring. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
Please know that our 2021 TVs also have an audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
On your TV go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through

Amazing tv

The picture quality is amazing and it has all the smart features you would need in a tv! I have surround speakers and never realized my old tv wasnt producing the highest quality sound. This tv has all the speakers booming and solved a problem i didnt even know i had! Highly recommend!

When first delivered, the TV was damaged. Best Buy suggested a different brand, but i wasn't happy with the Sony recommended. So Best Buy made it right and I got the TV I originally wanted. I've been super pleased with the purchase and recommend this TV to anyone. You'll be happy with it if you purchase it!

Everything I read said this was still one of the best TVs even though it is last year's model. I compared it to the S95B but the $800 increase for the S95B is not warranted and you dont have to worry about certain images burning into the screen like you with some OLed models.

This is the 5th Samsung tv I have owned and it is the best one yet. I would definitely go with the 65” if you can, it is so worth it. My PlayStation 5 looks amazing and so does 4K content. The colors and brightness are incredible! If you are on the fence with this one, DO IT. I can tell you, you will not be disappointed!

Near OLED picture quality. Id take this tv over an OLED any day just for the brightness alone. Many OLEDs struggle to output half the brightness this tv does. My living room has lots of windows wuth direct sunlight, so this tv is perfect viewing during the day.
