Do not buy-known picture freezing problems.

After countless calls to Samsung they finally sent out a tech and they replaced the motherboard. The Samsung techs were well aware this is a common problem. After that countless more calls to Samsung tech support. After two months of back and forth it is finally fixed. I have a rebuilt TV, I paid for a new TV not a refurbished one. Both Samsung and Best buy refused to replace my TV. Now that the problem is resolved the picture quality is average to poor. I found I have to constantly change settings when watching different programs. Very disappointed with Samsung and this is probably my 10th Samsung TV. Samsung get better.

Horrendous Customer Service

We purchased our system over 2 months ago and it has yet to be installed. They hit my credit card for 4k, and just keep rescheduling me. Can’t call the local store anymore - have to go to an offshore call center. Downgraded to a different tv in stock after a month and a half, Appt was today and guess what? They have to reschedule again because no technician to do install. Reps system won’t let him (or me) reschedule so they have to call me back. So two trips to the store, a downgrade, about 24 emails, and 24 phone calls, 4 canceled appointments and I am still waiting for call back. Terrible customer service, terrible online system, terrible process, and terrible practice of taking money before they deliver product.

New 65” Samsung Xmas

Recently, I noticed it looking horizontally warped about a 1/4” from midway to top.

Your new S90D TV supports HDR, allowing you to enjoy a wide spectrum of colors and visual details, even in dark scenes. It automatically matches the dynamic range of the content to the TV on a scene-by-scene basis to maximize the capabilities of the TV, providing the best possible picture.
To check, go to Settings > Picture Mode. The icon in the Quick Settings Menu will change to show the “HDR” on it. If you’re watching a streaming app, give it some time for the Internet to stabilize for UHD & HDR signals.

Stopped Working after 7 months

Started making a clicking sound even when not touching remote. Has power but no sound or picture. Intiated the service process as its still under warranty but so far all they do is take my info and the apparently lose it. Very frustrating.

Bad customer service

They kept canceling the delivery. I talked to about 10 people over chat and phone, but none of them were helpful. They just said ‘sorry to hear that,’ blah blah. I literally stayed home for 3 days to receive the TV, and there’s no compensation for the inconvenience they created. Very disappointing.

DO NOT BUY!!!! READ!!!!!!!

Also… the Hulu screen ratio is pretty much a square.  I sat for two hours on YouTube trying to figure out how to fix this and there is no fix. Please do not buy this piece of junk. I blew out my back for absolute non sense.

We're sorry to hear of this misunderstanding. If a menu setting is grayed out, this does not indicate that something is wrong with your TV. It just means that a function or certain settings are not available based on the current source, settings, or connections. For example, some options may be grayed out if you are currently watching content from an app or external device. Long press the 'Return' key on your remote to exit the program you are in and go back to the menu - all settings should now be available.

Overhyped

Not the Best Choice

Everything is better on this OLED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t realize what I was missing without OLED amd the s90d is by far and away the best value in the class. I did not realize what a big difference true black makes. It is huge. No blurring at all and every viewing angle is perfect. The glare reduction is really solid. I font have to watch tv in the complete dark anymore. Gaming is a a whole new level on the 77in OLED. Plus by house is sports central now. Everyone wants to watch the games on jt because you see so much more detail of the action and you really have a better grasp of whats happening on the field. The depth you can see is also unreal. It almost feels like youre looking through a window, not watching tv. I highly, highly recommend the Samsung S90D.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).
For optimal clarity, you may also want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings

Remote WILL break!

After an hour talking to customer service that told me they could help solve issue. Their solution BUY A NEW REMOTE FROM THEIR STORE. I spent this much for a tv and they can’t even supply a working remote.

Not for gaming

You can search for and select the S90D TV to download the guides you would like.
The e-Manual and Remote Guide are both also embedded into your TV itself under Menu > Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

Dishonest practuces of Best Buy.

Was told that if I signed up for a Best Buy credit card I would receive a 10% discount, so I did. When the bill came, there was no discount. I called to get it straightened out and was put on hold for well over a half an hour then told I wasn't eligible. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold and after 5 more minutes, disconnected. I will not be shopping at Best Buy again and will tell all my family and friends about the terrible service and dishonest practices of Best Buy.

it failed on me within 2-3 weeks

I'm a Samsung fan. but they should be doing better with their quality control..
