AMAZING picture, GARBAGE User Interface
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This may be the best picture I've ever seen. But, I took it back for a return. I will tell you like I told the folks at my Best Buy when they asked what was wrong. There isn't a picture good enough for me to suffer through this user interface. The picture on the TV is absolutely stunning, but the UI is absolutely garbage. I tried using this TV as part of my home theater. I hooked the ARC HDMI up to a new Sony AN1000 receiver and the TV fought doing what I wanted it to do all the time. You can't choose input on the TV, so when I wanted to run something solely through the receiver, the TV did not want to let the receiver run the show. My son was playing XBox multiple times, running through the receiver, and the TV shifted to the Samsung TV channels and would not let us switch back to the receiver/XBox. This is just one of the issues. The ARC worked about 50% of the time. For some reason, when we were watching YouTube through the TV UI and playing the sound through the receiver/theater speakers, over 50% of the time, it wouldn't send the sound to the receiver, it would just play through the TV speakers. Same goes for Hulu and YouTube TV. The TV just randomly decided on its own when it would send the sound signal to the receiver. Also, when I tried to plug the XBox directly into the TV and bypass the receiver, there is some strange UI solely for games on the TV, but it's not controlling the XBox. I never did figure that one out. Good luck! Like I said, if you're not using a receiver, you may be in luck with an amazing picture. It's not just an amazing picture for the price, it's truly an amazing picture at any price point. If you have lots of other inputs or use a receiver, I would run the other way...fast.

Amazing TV!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The S95B has an amazing picture, great blacks levels and brightness. The picture colors and resolutions are excellent. The TV has a great sound. The remote control is manageable and easy to use and the TV was easy to setup. The video streaming, smart features and the game mode are excellent. The TV is very thin and look very nice. I recommend this amazing TV by far! Also I have the QN90A with the update 2001 and is amazing too. I’m very happy with both TV. Highly recommend!

Almost Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung 65" Class S95B is a powerhouse of a display. I was immediately impressed by the OLED technology, with deep blacks and vibrant colors that make me want to rewatch every film I have ever seen. The TV is great for gaming too as the OLED technology allows for a response time quicker than my gaming monitors. The only downside for me is the operating system. Putting the design and aesthetics of the software aside, I was disappointed with the performance. there are noticeable stutters when switching between inputs and different streaming services. Sometimes, even turning the TV on can take a few seconds which is a major letdown given how great everything else is. That being said, the S95B is still my go to pick for OLED TVs below $2000.

AWESOME TV!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has a FANTASTIC screen. Im legally blind and love this tv. It was absolutely the right choice. The install was painless and thorough. The user friendly design is simple. I love that I can sync it to my phone or tablet so I dont have to get up and down to read the option screens. And between a black friday sale and no intrest payments...a tv that normally would NEVER be an option for me was!! And I'm not normally caught up in these details, the practical ones take priority in my research, but this super thin screen is cool!!! Ps the spund is great even without a soundbar.

Extremely bright and vivid OLED, but pricey.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible OLED TV, but very expensive. The biggest yake aways from this TV are as follows. Very bright with the various brightness settings turned up, extremely vivid colors, and obviously extremely deep blacks. The tizen TV UI is pretty good, but I use an Nvidia shield. The smart remote is really good at "just working" with connected devices such as my sound bar and Nvidia shield with no setup required. My biggest complaint is that the near black levels are very crushed and the TV is way too thin for the weight. It is extremely easy to bend of break the top half of the display when unboxing if you are not careful or have someone to help. There is no practical reason it needs to be so thin on the top edge other than bragging points about how thin it is. If you care about picture accuracy, use movie movie mode, warm 2, color 21, contrast enhancement low, and turn the shadow detail up to 5. Set these settings while watching normal SDR content and again for HDR content. The settings are saved separately between SDR and HDR and must be set while displaying each type of content. The crushed black levels I mentioned are still present even with shadow detail at 5, but you only loose about 2 steps of the near black levels.

Excellent TV - Would purchase again.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture and very satisfied. Only a few knocks but not enough to rate it a 4 star. Those being that although you can get good volume you must turn it up to the high 20 to 30's levels to achieve it most of the time. Something that I did not know is that you can test the picture to make sure you get good quality and the testing shows a beautiful picture. Unfortunately, our cable provider does not carry 4k or 8k capability at this time so you do not achieve the maximum picture quality even on their high definition channels. Not Samsung's fault but was disappointed when the cable provider did not support this taking away the benefits of the 4k capabilities. I would buy again. This replaced a 50 inch led 2001 Samsung TV.

Im fine with it but if you’re buying for somebody whos older, or special needs its not a very good remote at all.

(Samsung)QD-OLED is a winner but.......
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying the picture quality on this tv is the best I've ever seen. When I heard Samsung and Sony were releasing QD-OLED's this year I was very excited. The best of both worlds into one technology. The brightness of QLED and the deep inky blacks of OLED. Gaming from my XBOX Series X has been flawless. All the ports are full HDMI 2.1 VRR 4K 120 48GBS. This is the best gaming tv I've ever owned. Very bright and beautiful! Upscaling from my Verizon FIOS capable box is much better on this Samsung than my previous Vizio OLED. No complaints. Screen uniformity which is something that has plagued regular OLEDs over the years is absolutely excellent here. No banding or tinting on my 65" panel. Kudos to Samsung Display for excellent quality control. In my opinion QD OLED is the next logical step in television technology. That being said there are a couple of issues. 1. HDR Accuracy - this is more from a technical standpoint, but Samsung is notorious for pushing the brightness and colors on their televisions. I have no issue with them doing this, but I would appreciate it if there was one picture mode that can calibrated correctly to industry standards. As of firmware 1204.2 the HDR EOTF curve pushes the brightness too much. I wish there was a mode for those who like a calibrated image with no extra Samsung enhancements available. Most people will not care about this, but QD OLED is the pinnacle of television technology. You are going to attract customers who care about accuracy. 2. HDR screen dimming. During extended dark scenes the screen dims to extremely low levels. It crushes all shadow detail. As soon as I bring up a menu the brightness returns. It's very distracting and needs to be fixed. An example of this is from the 4K Blu-ray of the movie 1917, chapter 14. The scene begins in a dimly lit basement with a fireplace. The main character meets a French woman and a baby. By the end of the scene(a few minutes) the screen has dimmed so much you are unable to make out any details. Samsung's dimming algorithm needs to be adjusted. OLEDs should not dim during dark scenes! What's the point of deep inky blacks if your crushing all the shadow detail? For those that are willing to test this out I'm using Filmaker Mode with all enhancements turned off especially contrast enhancer. There are many more positives here than negatives. Clearly QD OLED has many strengths but the negatives should be addressed. Hopefully someone from Samsung reads this and passes it on to the engineering team. The overall product is excellent but there are some small pot holes that need to be fixed. lol

Great TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first large tv and I love it so far. I haven't had time to read 240 pages of remote instructions so am using the remote from a previous tv. The picture is beautiful and movies are so much more enjoyable. I haven't had any glitches with the picture or sound, and I only have an antenna. It's light and was easy to lift onto the wall mount with a friend. I look forward to viewing my movie library on this screen.

Best QD-OLED despite lower price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing TV. Worth every penny even at full price, but I got it for an awesome deal at Best Buy. Picture quality is immaculate, and the brightness/sharpness levels are insane. Playing HDR games and viewing HDR content is next level. I didn't think I'd expect such a jump from a 4k LED to this OLED. Samsung really knocked this out of the park.

A new era of OLED as arrived!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your fan of OLED TV's then this is best you can buy period! You have to see the picture In your. After watching movies on this set they take on whole new 3D look and clarity I have never seen before on any TV and I have owned two OLED before this one. This is future and I only hope LG and Sony also start making all there TV's QD OLED. I can't wait to see how Sony A95K compares. But I can't imagine it's going to look significantly better than this Samsung and at $1000-1200 more be worth that difference in price. Unless you absolutely have to have most accurate picture and better processor. The HDR picture on this looks so amazing I don't even want to watch SDR material any longer. So I'm dropping my direct TV subscription. I can't say much on how sound quality is since I have very expensive home theater system for my audio.

QD OLED
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned the qn90b for this. I had a LG CX and it was great just wanted bigger. Samsung oled is brighter and colors pop more. I hate the thin bezel, makes it scary to move around. 1 star off for motion being not as good as LG and no Dolby vision.
