Beware Open Box Deals

Apparently that was not so. Every 10 minutes, or after one too many clicks on the remote the TV would reset and restart. Looking online it seems this to not unusual with Samsung OLED TV’s. Disappointing as the picture was outstanding while it worked! I returned this unit the next day for a full refund and purchased a Samsung 65” NEO QLED - which works just fine.

It started out with the screen going black up to 20 times a day. There is no warning. I wasn't sure if the power went out or if the screen just went black. I found out that the screen was just going black and wanted to optimize the pixels, which would take 10 minutes. But that wasn't all... it would do this several times a day. Samsung sent service, who changed the mother board only to find that the new mother board was defective. Then the service team was in communication with Samsung who stated that a software upgrade would fix it, but they hadn't come out with the upgrade yet, so I had to wait. In the mean time, I continued to have issues and wasn't willing to wait, so I went through the on screen prompts again for service. This time service brought another motherboard, but they forgot the tool to install it. They drove 100 miles to service my tv, as service companies for Samsung are far and few between (only large metro areas). They drove from west of Minneapolis to Eau Claire, WI. Finally, service remembered the tools and the new mother board was installed. So fare, so good, but it took several months to get here.
