You have to use both the TV control and the Apple TV or Fire TV for turning the TV on first, select your device to use and then you can use the streaming devices controls. I did not want to use the TV control as a universal control because I find easier and more convenience to use the streaming devices controls instead

If you care only about picture quality you will be set with this TV. It's amazing The Bad: where do I even start. The connectivity of the TV is horrible. I got the Top of the Line Q990B soundbar to go with this TV by giving up my Vizio Elevate Soundbar thinking that it will pair well since both are Samsung top of the line products. Boy was I wrong. I don't know if its5the TV or the soundbard but it's been nothing but issues since day one. I can't play some Blu-rays because it's not recognized by the TV so I have to connect the Blu-ray directly to the soundbard for it to work but then there is no sound from the center channel so I have to switch the TV to PCM mode which totally kills the sound experience. Already contacted Samsung so many times and they want me to send in the soundbard. I used to have a Sony TV paired up with the vizio elevate soundbar for 3 years with zero connectivity issues. I could play any and all Blu-rays and never had the sound cut off from time to time like I do with my current setup. Final thoughts. If you only care about picture quality and will not be pairing this TV with a soundbar then it's probably the best there is right now but the moment you try to use a soundbar with it. You will have nothing but problems

We appreciate your feedback, and for optimal connectivity, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your S95B TV. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
When connecting Samsung's Q990B Soundbar, please also be sure you're using a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet Channel (sometimes called HDMI HEC cable). Also be sure to enable HDMI-eARC in the Expert Settings menu.
When connecting your devices that supply 4K content to your TV, like a UHD Blu-ray player, there is one very important step you need to do on your Samsung TV. You need to enable Input Signal Plus. Go to: Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus = On.
You'll see a list of the HDMI ports on your TV. Select the HDMI port that you are going to connect (or have connected) a 4K device to. This will turn the feature on for this port. Keep in mind, when selecting the HDMI input you are connecting, the TV screen may flicker.

Went Completely Out at 1 year; 2 months!

This TV went out right after warranty expired at 1 year; 2 months. Apparently, they are having trouble with the Power Supply Boards in this TV. Would not recommend. Disappointed because I do love Samsung TV's. Obvious problem with this model. Been back 3 times and cannot get it fixed.
