The art function isn't fooling anybody. Paintings don't glow. I guess it looks better than a blank screen, but I feel like this should be a no cost option. And the attempt to make the art look real compromises the picture. My 10 year old 1080p Sharp looks better from a Blu-ray source. And the remote is stupid. Because of its minimalist design, each button has multiple, unlabeled functions. Good luck remembering each one. The UI is typical Samsung. If you understand Touchwhiz, then I guess you'll find this TV intuitive, but I find it befuddling. Lastly the settings seem to randomly reset themselves. I'll find myself noticing that the picture is particularly bad only to discover that somehow Brightness and Contrast have reset themselves to maximum. Go buy an OLED TV. You'll be happier.

We appreciate your review of The Frame TV. To ensure your TV is fully optimized with the latest performance enhancements, please make sure you’ve got the latest firmware updates installed. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity:
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD.
4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.
To assist you in learning the various functions and settings of your new Solar Cell remote, you can download the Solar Cell Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website under ‘Support’ (top right corner) > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater.
