Beautiful product - 3 stars only for reasons below.
Originally purchased in 2019 for $2400. Gorgeous TV with slim design and mount. One Connect Box was a surprise and not optional. Slightly annoying as I had already snaked hdmi's through the wall, and snaking the One Connect is not so easy because it has a wide profile. Slim Mount also very tricky to install.
Fast forward to August 2023. Return from vacation to find that TV wont turn on. Pressing power just leads to a cycle of clicking and no picture. Warranty expired. Wasnt sure if it was the TV or the One Connect Box that was the problem. Had trouble finding a replacement One Connect Box, decided to buy same TV so that I could first swap out the boxes to see if that was the problem. I also thought that going like for like would make my install easier... could not be more wrong.
First, the 2023 One Connect Box is not compatible with the 2019 TV. The cables are different, and due to the slim mount, it is impossible to swap the cables without dismounting the TV. So much for my attempt at troubleshooting.
So I removed the whole TV. and in the process, nearly dropped it, and I will never know if it was the TV that was broken or it was the dismount that caused damage.
Time to mount the new TV. Guesswhat, the mounts are not compatible. The 2019 version includes a center-aligned slim mount (essentially one hook). The 2023 version includes left and right aligned mounts (two hooks on either side.) Thus, I couldnt even reuse the old mount, and to boot, to accommodate the rather wide profile of the new mount, I had to drill additional holes in the stone work around the fire place. The good news with this design is that it was much easier to hang the 2023 version than the 2019 version.
In the end, sticking with the Frame didnt help me at all. In fact, it made my install worse, and should have opened my shopping options. On the brightside, we are happy with how it looks,,, just cant give it a better rating due to the short shelf life of the first one, and the major pain it was to install

Just had the 65" Samsung Frame TV installed above fireplace along with a Deco frame. Artwork is stunning and the special frame makes it look very elegant. It blends great with our antique furniture and eclectic collection of books and collectibles.

Finally a “Smart “ TV that actually does what all of my previous Smart TV’s promised to do but never did. It automatically connected to my Bose SoundTouch system and it actually mostly works without human intervention 90% of the time. The rest of the time I need to manually turn the sound system off and back on with the Bose remote but that’s probably a Bose problem not a problem with the new TV.

While we enjoy seeing artwork on the Frame I find the software very poor and unstable. I have had to factory reset the TV several times. The SmartThings app is not very smart, it frequently thinks the TV is not online when it actually is. It also often does not connect to my external speaker properly, have to start and restart the TV. An advertised feature that does not work is the motion activation feature never works. The Best Buy installer mentioned they recommend turning off this feature. I do not understand why Samsung cannot do a better job with the software.

We were able to mount the tv to the wall ourselves. Step by step instructions felt a bit tedious. Found great visual video instructions on YouTube.
Our television is in a room. Television does produce some heat and noticeably effects room temperature.
I appreciate the matte screen and makes it easier on my eyes to watch.

We appreciate you sharing your setup experience with The Frame TV. Watching TV for an extended period of time causes the panel to generate heat. The heat from the panel is dissipated through internal vents running along the top of the TV. The bottom, however, may feel hot to the touch after extended use. This heat, however, is not a defect and does not affect the TV's functionality.

The art is a great. We love it. But you have to pay about $50 annually to access all the art. And with the vast options you get with the art package, you get a silly 8 or 10 choices for mats. Like, what would Samsung lose to let users choose from a color wheel/palette for the mat?
Picture is great, but digital/streaming channels will lag after a half an hour or so (YES, SAMSUNG, FIRMWARE IS UPDATED). We have great internet speeds, all other devices work wonderfully, Still trying to figure out why the lag keeps happening,
OH! took it down one star, because if you want an actual frame that looks like a picture frame, you have to go to the only third party frame retailer, and for a 65" TV, it's $450 minimum for a frame. Looks kinda cool though!
