Had this TV since 2021 and it’s already having issues. Flashing gray bars across the screen no matter the input or app. Calling Samsung led to them asking me to purchase another TV from them because the warranty is already out. I know samsung has struggled as of late, guess I am the next victim.

    Perfect in my living room

We received our Samsung 65 inch tv the day before we were going on vacation. I had to wait a whole week and a half to get back and finally set up The Frame TV as Samsung refers to it. I read reviews on mounting the television and made the decision to have a professional hang the tv. Turned out to be a smart decision as the newer model contains two different mounts where as the older model was single mount. This proved to be a little more difficult and different bolts were used then the ones Samsung provided. Once the install was completed, I was free to gaze at all the different features that this television offers. The artwork view is stunning and actually looks like a painting in my living room. I have showed numerous people I work with and they can’t believe that it is a television. A single plastic wire hangs down from the television which powers it and connects to a Samsung power box. The wire is not such a bother and is tough to see. I am not a fan of a bunch of wires hanging down the wall and this is not the case with this television. The television comes with some complimentary artwork or you can subscribe to thousands of art for 5 dollars a month. They do offer a free month trial to start. The remote is solar powered and very easy to navigate. Setup was easy on the television and within minutes had some of the apps downloaded to watch other subscription services. The picture is very clear and my kids have enjoyed watching many YouTube videos on The Frame already. The television has a motion detection that you can use when the artwork is on display. After the designated time goes by and no motion is detected, the television turns off. When motion is detected again the artwork is restored. The volume fills the room up ok and maybe a sound bar in the future would enhance the sound. The television has a self diagnosis display that you press and it starts scanning for any potential problems that need to be fixed. I tried this and it fixed my auto volume function. This television is just wonderful to have and feels really completes my living room. This room has become the place to gather as the Samsung Frame television has completely delivered another special product.

We upgraded our 5 year old 50" Samsung to the The Frame 65". So, it goes without saying that the picture quality has improved since we last updated our tv. The picture is super clear and the sound is also great. We subscribed to the $5/mo. art store option because the picture mode was the main reason we chose this model. We are thrilled with the variety of art and the overall quality with different textures and mats available. Hopefully Samsung will be able to reduce the size of the box that comes with the tv eventually. We're hiding ours behind a cabinet and eventually behind a wall. Mounting was as easy as it ever is when taking 2 hangers into consideration (not quite as easy as a single mount); but nothing more than the typical measuring and accounting for studs. The actual tv setup was easy and user-friendly. We were watching tv and changing out artwork in under 5 minutes of hanging the tv. We recommend this tv to anyone who wants to elevate their tv experience.

I love this Tv. It has good viewing angles, an art mode to display artwork and pictures which looks fantastic and cones with a tv wall mount. The frame is thin and supports next gen consoles for 120fps gaming as well. Picture quality is great but oled is definitely better if you are wanting a tv for movies. Get this tv if you want a good looking item in your living room that can also connect with your other samsung devices. Otherwise if you only watch movies, invest in an oled instead.

      Hi Razh,

Thank you for purchasing Samsung’s new 2021 Frame TV. I am glad you are enjoying the design of your new TV, minimalist-inspired and intended to enhance any space. The Frame transforms into a beautiful work of art when you’re not watching TV.

If the picture you are seeing out-of-the-box are not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
      3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
      4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
      5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.

I hope you can use these adjustment recommendations to set the image to your liking. If you would like further assistance with settings, features, or functions, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST M-F (9AM – 6PM EST Sat). OLED vs. QLED - be warned

This TV replaced our LG OLED TV because my wife wanted "art" on the wall instead of a big, black rectangle. The art gimmick is pretty cool and works well, but the QLED picture is inferior to the OLED picture that we had. The blacks are not nearly as black and there is a dullness over the entire screen compared to the OLED even after calibration, etc., etc. If you have become accustomed to the picture on an OLED screen, you will be disappointed in this TV. If not, it will be just fine for you. The smart apps and remote do work very well although it does have trouble controlling our DirecTV box.

      Hi mde4me,

Thank you for your review of the 2021 Frame TV. Quantum Dot technology powers over a billion brilliant shades of vivid and lifelike colors that stay true regardless of the scene’s brightness.

You can choose from different Picture Modes to suit your preferences. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode to choose from (Standard, Natural, Movie, Dynamic, & Filmmaker Mode. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.)

Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and your content.

Most cable and satellite boxes today can be connected with HDMI, and that’s a good thing, because HDMI offers the best picture and sound. If your cable box has component connections, the first thing you may want to do is contact your cable company and see if there is an upgraded box available. If not, you can still get up to a 1080p (Full HD) picture with component connections, but for many TVs you will need a component to HDMI adapter if the TV does not support component out of the box.

      1. Make sure the TV and cable or satellite box are turned off.
      2. Connect an HDMI cable to your cable or satellite box’s HDMI out port, which should be located on the back.
      3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to any of the empty HDMI ports on your Samsung TV.
Note: Make sure to remember what number the port is so you can change your TV’s source to it in a moment.
      4. Turn on your TV and the cable or satellite box. Now depending on your TV, a few different things may happen:

Your TV may automatically recognize that you connected a cable or satellite box and not only switch to the source, but change the name of the source to the name of your cable box. You can now watch TV and control the cable box with your Samsung Smart TV remote.
Note: This only works when using an HDMI connection.

If nothing happens, that is ok. You need to either press Source on your remote or navigate to source using the on screen menu to change to the HDMI port that you connected your cable or satellite box to

If you would like further assistance with connecting your cable box or settings adjustments, or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

I replaced my 55" Frame that I had for 3 years with a 65". It has some advanced features that are an improvement over the 3 year old model. It was easy to mount. The only issue with my 55" model was that the one wire was not concealed so it did not look like a picture. With the 65" I did order the in wall wiring since NYC requires insulated cables. Geek Squad is not permitted to conceal power wiring so I had an electrician to it and the frame tv now looks like a picture because there is no visible wiring. The picture is crisp. Colors are vibrant.

I've had this TV for a year now and can't say enough good things! - The included mount really does make the TV flush against the wall, so it looks more like art than a television. Selecting a piece of artwork as the screensaver makes the TV fit into my apartment perfectly. It's an expensive reason to buy this TV, but I love it so much I'd buy this TV all over again. - I'm not a professional tech reviewer, but I feel the video quality is great. I'm very satisfied watching TV and movies on the 65" screen. If anything, I wish I'd paid extra to go a bit bigger! - The sound quality is great for a small living room. Guests are often surprised that the sound is even coming from the TV, since the TV is so thin and inconspicuous. If you *do* want to use a sound bar, it's simple to pair. You can also easily connect two Amazon Echos via Bluetooth to use as speakers. - The included software is modern and simple to use. I don't have a Fire Stick, Apple TV, or Chromecast--I just use the software on the TV directly. It's great, updated frequently, and I have zero complaints. - The included remote has a solar charger on the back of it, so there's no need to charge the remote or change batteries--though you can also charge via USB-C. Other than being expensive, I have no complaints about this TV and would absolutely buy it all over again. I had my previous, cheap, Vizio TV for about 5 years, and it became old and unappealing very quickly. I can see this TV lasting me a lot longer.

Exactly what I was looking for. Slim and practically flush to the wall. The One Connect cable makes for a simple and easy connection. Just make sure you have a place to locate the box. Picture was better than I expected and the art mode really changes the aesthetics of the room. When off, it’s no longer just a black void on my wall, but a framed piece of art. Generally there’s a considerable compromise to function when you prioritize form. Not so much.

So happy with this TV. Super thin and super matte is great for use in bright rooms and dims enough to watch after dark. The smart TV part is nice and fast and feature packed. The audio while not home theater grade is very crisp and makes dialog very clear. I love that the guys of the TV connect through a tiny wire, you really don't mind it even if you can see it. Gaming in 120fps is fun too. O and art mode makes this more than a TV.

Best television I have ever owned. We wanted a television above our fireplace and didn't even know something like this existed. But when you turn the power off, it goes into art mode. It's so much nicer to have a painting displayed when not in use instead of just a blank screen! But... when we leave the room, a motion sensor realizes nobody is enjoying the art, and then it goes blank. As you enter back into the room, the art comes back on. :-) BEAUTIFUL! I don't have a power outlet above my fireplace. So how would I plug this TV in then you wonder??? It comes with a separate box called the One Connect which has the power, HDMI, USB, and Optical out ports for all the devices you would normally plug into a TV. It then has a single cable which is really skinny (and fragile) which goes from this box to the back of the TV. This cable caries the power, video, and sound so connecting additional devices to the TV is amazingly simple. We have this One Connect box to the side of the fireplace and run the 15 foot cable up to the TV. I'm a bit concerned about putting the cable inside the wall knowing there's heat coming from the fireplace behind the wall. If you saw the price of a replacement cable, you might be extra cautious with how you handle this cable too. I would say though that the Tizen OS is not as good as something like Roku. But it works. If I really miss having Roku, I might just plug one into the available HDMI ports and I'm good to go! Overall, I really love the TV and glad we have it.

I purchased this TV for the aethestics and reasonable picture quality. On that side - it delivers. The TV is beautiful to look at off, and the picture quality is very good (not as good as other Samsung options, but you’re buying this for looks). The software and user experience hold this TV back: You cannot disable Art Mode - so be prepared for an always-on TV experience. You can turn it off by holding the power button for 3 seconds each time - but that gets tiresome. The TV is loaded with advertisements in menus, unremovable apps, a horrific privacy policy, and too many smart features which get in the way of just being a solid TV. I have owned an LG OLED which had similar smarts, but they were easier to turn off and were easier to ignore. If you want a beautiful TV that is used for art - this is a good bet. If you just want a solid TV to display your Roku/Apple TV/game console - look elsewhere.
