We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced with inconsistent sound volume on your TV.
To help stabilize volume levels, try enabling the Auto Volume function, which automatically adjusts sound when switching channels or inputs: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume > On
You may also want to run a Sound Test to check for audio issues: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test

The obligation to use Samsung, Smart Things, and other mandatory apps to set up a TV is overkill. It's a TV. If you want a TV, better to avoid giant companies that want access to all your data to sell it. But hey it's a TV so after you get past all that (mentally, emotionally, literally) it becomes a TV.
