I have done some troubleshooting and believe it is maybe either the connected Bose 500 sound bar or the mobile device controlling ability causing this? I know I got a deal on this tv, but expected better from Samsung. This is my first Samsung (as I have had mostly Sony before) and the quality differences are noticeable.

Sometimes connected Smart devices send abnormal "power on" signals through the wireless network that triggers the TV to turn itself on.
If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
