Really nice TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung tv is really good, the picture quality is amazing and the sound is also great. I did pair it up with a Samsung sound bar for that extra kick but in all honesty it’s not really needed. The only downside to it is that it only has 2 hdmi port which sucks if you have more things you want to plug in but it’s ok. Also the tv does lag when you go to use the remote I don know if it’s the tv or the remote but it honestly doesn’t affect the quality of the tv. All in all for the brand the size and the quality, the price is spot on!

Samsung 4k tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very big tv. Hung it on my brick fireplace. Looks awesome. Great tv with alot of preloaded apps for free tv channels. The only thing that is bad is the limited amount of 4k content available. Comcast has zero 4k channels available. Might be switching to DirecTV as the have some 4k channels. Otherwise Netflix offers alot of movies in 4k. Also got a great price as a black Friday special. $529 for a smart 70" tv. Not to bad!

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung 70" flat screen is awesome. It has so many features and can hook up to so many apps to extend your viewing pleasure. a real smart TV! I can even bluetooth my computer keyboard and mouse and browse the internet. You really feel like you have your own private theater. It was easy to set up and learn all the features. Well worth the price. Picture is beautiful and all the setting were perfect right out of the box.

Great Deal!!! Great Picture!! PERFECT Size!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been wanting to UPGRADE from my old 50" Plasma for years!!! Never wants to spend $1k for 70"+ TV but when this went on Black Friday Sale for $530 COULDN'T BEAT THAT!!! Plus its a Samsung 70" at this price! It was this or 2018' UN70NU6900 which why buy a 2 year old model when this ones the 2020! I would disregard any bad reviews on this TV about picture cause there is TONS of settings to adjust to your liking... LIKE TONS!!! They must've not browsed to TV enough to check the setting on everything. Picture is AMAZING 4K its a HUGE Upgrade! As for the sound its pretty loud as you can ADJUST the sounds too as there is 3 settings which i use amplify as its the loudest and give it more bass etc.. (seen some reviews say not loud) maybe from 60-100 volume is not much of a difference but it does its job plus just get a sound bar which i use too for Gaming and Sports. Gaming on this is on another level as this TV enhances & 120Hz too as no lag etc as TV recognizes when in Game Mode. It says 60Hz but seems it runs really smooth & Motion Rate is 120 anyways! FREE Cable on SAMSUNG TV was a HUGE plus didn't expect that! It has 2 HDMI ports which if you buying this TV I'm sure you seen that... Really i feel that's all you need.. and Remote is good somewhat small but easy to use! Easy setup and interface is only at times sluggish but not often and when it is its not bad at all... I hung this TV as I was thinking of getting the 75" but this is PERFECT & looks AMAZING! OVERALL GREAT TV!!!!

Great 70" 4K TV for the price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I purchased this Samsung 70" Class 6 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV (model UN70TU6980FXZA) during BestBuy's Black Friday "Week". We bought it in-person at the local BestBuy for $529.99 (on sale from $749.99). We had a 52" Sharp Aquos 1080p TV for nearly 10 years (which still works perfectly), and decided to spoil ourselves and upgrade to a bigger screen with 4K resolution. I completed the set-up that evening (with some "extra set of hands" assistance from my wife), and we have used it for a few days. The following comments are based on my experiences and use over that period. You should review the "specifications" under the product page on BestBuy's website for more info. 1. Installation: We needed a 70" TV...not a 65", and not a 75". We have a limited space condition, and the 70" size is a perfect fit (61.3" wide, 35.4" tall). I did have to re-position my existing VESA TV wall mount to fit this larger TV, and had to go to Home Depot that evening to pick up some longer M8 1.25 machine screws, but it worked out, and the TV fits oru space perfectly. The connection locations were where I needed them for our cables (at the back right of the TV when you are facing the screen), and the unboxing (the box is HUGE! - glad we took the F150 to pick it up), and instructions were very manageable. Hardware Tip: While the TV's manual says you can use 20-22mm long screws to mount the TV, this is INCORRECT. You should use 35mm or longer phillips pan head screws with M8 locking and standard washers. The threads in the back of the Samsung TV are deep-set, and a short screw will probably not reach the threads through the frame of your TV mount. Home Depot had inexpensive 45mm M8 1.25 screws, locking nuts and washers in their metric screws trays (screw model 843398). You'll need 4 screws, 4 locking washers, and some amount of standard washers (all M8 size) as spacers. Get more standard washers than you think you'll need to avoid a second trip. 2. Brand Choice: After reading dozens of reviews of the various brands, technology, features, etc., this model from Samsung provided what I needed, without the things I didn't need. Samsung is a trusted brand for me, and this model is 70", and offers UHD/4K resolution. It has the basic connection options I needed (minimum 2 HDMI ports, 1 of which is eARC, coax/antenna connection, ethernet cable connection for wired internet, in addition to the built-in wi-fi, and an option for digital optical audio - or DOA), and all at a great price. There were definitely more expensive TV options available in the store. We looked at Samsung's Q series, QLED technology, 8K, etc., but they were all more expensive, and were not available in the 70" size. We looked at the top-of-the-line Sony TVs. They are clearly the best picture quality...but Sony doesn't make 70" 4K TVs, and they are by far the most expensive. We also looked at 70" options from Vizio (I am just unfamiliar with the brand and quality), and Sharp's new 70" model (given Sharp's hiatus from the TV market, I wasn't confident enough to be the guinea pig). 3. Features: We have Xfinity for TV service and 1Gbps internet, and we use the DVR's built-in apps for streaming/on-demand for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Vudu, etc. While all of these apps are also included on the TV, we haven't used them yet, due to an unrelated technical issue...our current Panasonic surround sound system is old, and doesn't support DOA or HDMI. It requires RCA cable connections, so we connect it directly to our DVR for sound. Once we upgrade the surround system (next year) to something that has the right connectivity, we'll likely use the TV's built-in apps more. The TV does have basic built-in speakers, but I don't recommend relying on them for sound. I wouldn't use any TV's built-in speakers. They are all very basic solutions. Get a surround sound system. So far, we've watched live sports and pre-recorded content via Xfinity, and streamed shows via Prime. The TV shows looked "huge", and the resolution is OK (upscaled from HD)...but that's because...spoiler alert...there is no 4K content in broadcast TV yet. The only 4K content is via streaming services. The streamed 4K content on this TV looks AWESOME. Very crisp and clean. We've been switching the TV's picture mode between "movie" and "natural", depending on what we're watching, and we're very happy with the viewing experience. There is what appears to be some VERY minor light bleed during very dark or black scenes, but nothing that bothers us or that would bother most people. The action/motion image quality is very good. The TV only has 60 Hz native refresh rate, but Samsung's "Motion Rate" technology is at 120, and that seems to address anything that we'd typically notice with a 60Hz refresh rate. 4. Summary: Overall, we are very happy with this Samsung TV. It is the right size, has the features we were looking for, and the price was great! We'll see how it does in the months ahead, but, based on our experiences so far, I would recommend this brand/model to others with similar needs.

Great TV so far!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a open box for about 475 and wow!!!! really good! No need for cable with so many options out of the box. great color, good TV tuner as well. Sound is average but mostly i have it hooked up to my stereo. Do not that it is 60mhz, not as sharp as a 120 even with the software, but for me it is still great!!!

Good but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros; 1. Inexpensive 2. Good picture quality 3. Size for the money. Cons; 1. Tizen OS leaves more to be desired. 2. Only 2 HDMI inputs is simply not enough. If the OS was a little bit more advanced and more snappier I wouldn't mind the 2 HDMI. For this I personally feel like I am going to have to get a dedicated Android TV box (Nvidia Sheild) which will leave me with only one HDMI left.

Good purchase!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was trying to purchase another TV which was OOS in the store. Associate highly recommended this one. She was right. This TV was reasonably priced, with decent picture quality. It is also easy to set up and to control. We love I just wish Samsung could include more contents in its library.

Great value, great quality!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up on a Black Friday offer for a replacement of a 65 inch LG which started acting up after only two years, let me just say I am stupid for leaving the Samsung brand! I was a tad worried about the quality due to the price but overall am quite impressed. I would say anyone looking for a nice size television without spending a fortune this would be one of those hidden gems.

Almost a 5 star...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for the price like most have stated. Limited HDMI inputs keep it from getting a 5. Easy to set up. Plenty of apps to choose from. Good picture as well. Definitely recommend for someone just needing a good tv and maybe only has one game system etc to connect. Only complaint is the small remote. They could update the remote to be more user friendly.

Great upgrade to my living room
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has been great so far. For the price it's been an excellent upgrade for my living room. Picture quality is great for tv, movies and gaming. Took a little tweaking to the picture settings to get it where I wanted it, but other than that it's been exceptional. Only negative is the annoying Samsung popups when watching Samsung TV Plus on it where it keeps telling you to push up/down on the remote, etc, etc. No way to turn that off I guess. TV setup was simple and easy and took maybe 5 minutes to complete and I was watching movies. I do wish this had 3 HDMI ports instead of just 2. All new TV's imo should come with a minimum of 3. I run an Amazon Fire Cube and Xbox and have no where to plug in my HTPC without buying a HDMI switch. It is what it is tho. For the price point on this TV I can't really complain. It's been fantastic so far. Very happy with it

What an amazing TV!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is AMAZING!! The size is great, the quality of picture, and an amazing price. Couldn't be happier with my new TV. We did have to buy a new entertainment center as the base is much larger than our 48" but that is to be expected.

Wow. I am totally shocked at the value for 70"
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD: I purchased this TV (UN70TU6980FXZA) for my Father in Law. I have personally owned a 75 inch Sony X900H for 5 months. The picture quality between the two is almost identical. I viewed some non HDR 4k content off of youtube and could not tell the difference between the two TVs. It does a decent job handling blacks though not as good as my Sony. I also tried some regular HD content off of youtubeTV and could not see a major difference in picture quality for the price difference. The Samsung also has a better off viewing angle compared to my Sony. Of course my Sony X900H has a lot more features and future proofing but still over 3 times the price. THE BAD: The remote is small for the amount of buttons which are difficult to see and the layout is terrible. THE UGLY: The Tizen software is not intuitive a little funky and slow. Sadly Samsung des not offer Dolby Vision. VERDICT: Unless you need more HDMI inputs want HDMI 2.1 desire Dolby Vision or want to be first for atsc 3.0 next gen this TV is a great value. For the sale price of $7.57 per inch of diagonal screen you can't go wrong.

Love it so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good with my new Samsung 70" TV. I love it!! Love the size, the picture, and was very easy to set up. I don't have it connected to WiFi yet so I can't comment on its streaming ability. I was hesitant to purchase another Samsung since I was replacing one barely 5 years old that the screen had gone out on. But for the size and the price it was the best value available at the time and I needed it right away. I did purchase the Geek Squad protection though just in case. Hope to enjoy this one for many years. Oh and I forgot to mention I upgraded from a 55" to this 70" and so glad I did. So if you've been considering upgrading in size, do it. You won't regret it. You'll be amazed at the difference in viewing pleasure.
