Nice picture and size for us. We can view the TV in the family room or at the kitchen table. My husband who was hesitant about the TV and size has gotten the most use out of it as he loves to watch sports and other things from his iPad like YouTube. He now recommends this TV to everyone.

Some of the cons are limited picture adjustment, limited sound processing, annoying Tizen operating system, clunky remote, slow response and limited ability to handle fast action scenes. In sum, this is a budget Samsung that will do during the 2021=2022 transition period before new technologies such as micro led become affordable.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU6980 4K Smart TV and for your review. You can adjust the settings for picture and sound according to your preferences.
Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.
You can further adjust your brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
To adjust your sound preferences, go to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode and Settings > Sound > Expert Settings
You may also want to optimize the smart TV performance by running the Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care

Like free channels you get from Samsung TV. 2 things that I didn't like which made me return it was the lack of hdmi inputs. Only has 2 which I knew and was willing to work around it, but the 2nd thing was that I couldn't easily cast from my android phone which I do alot so took it back a few weeks later when a same size Hisense Android TV went on sale for $130 less. I'll admit the picture is not as crisp, but has all the features I want in a new large tv.

The only problem is that I had a hard time getting my outside antenna to work. Called the help line and after anout 45 minutes of checking differnt things the lady told me the antenna won't work with this tv, that i should get differnt antenna. Got the computer out got on google had it fixed in about 15 minutes. So if you have any problems setting it up check on the computer insted of calling the help line. I'll check back in after I've had it a month or so.

Perfect at $500 for 70"

Default view is the faux 120hz Soap Opera effect if you're into that. The HLG and FilmMaker mode for the rest of us. RDP access to Windows workstations was a great surprise. Would recommend for most if not all 70" T.V. applications when priced at ~$500 (-_-)=b
