Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing - I’m not a tech nerd so I kind of ignored the reviews about this TV having terrible lag time and a slow operating system. Having used this for a month, I’ve become painfully aware that this is a huge problem. The TV takes about 1-2 minutes to fully boot up, which is a new one to me. Then when you choose an app, it takes another minute to load that (longer than my other tvs) and then even while it’s been running for a few minutes and you scroll through with the remote, it can’t keep up and the lag between them is awful so you end up clicking something you didn’t mean to. The absolute worst part of all is that it if you were watching something like Netflix where the next show begins loading, it will time out during that transition because it’s so slow. The new issue is that it says it’s lost internet connection during a show. Everything else in my house on WiFi is working fine and when I go to troubleshoot, it says it’s connected. - Wi-Fi is 2 feet from the TV. Using a cable is an option but an embarrassing one considering the cost of this TV - TV has been on 2.4 and 5 just to try for a fix. Same issues. - I have tried the software help process to kill background apps along with updating software. I’m equally annoyed and amazed that this TV has so many issues and several beyond this. I told myself I wouldn’t get sucked back into Samsung with previous issues but I did. Last lesson learned.

I blame myself for not anticipating I'd need more. I disagree with reviewers who say just get a splitter. I've gone through 4. They are dodgy.

You may also want to optimize the smart TV performance by running the Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

In love!

The quality is amazing and comes with Samsung channels for tv and music. Only downfall is I cant download certain apps like at&t tv I have to pair it from my phone it is very annoying.

Not what they used to be.

The tv is mounted high on a wall and has a apc battery backup connected, so it has not bee abused. I will be switching brands. My new samsung 85 also is getting several dark spots on it after a year. They just don't make them like they used to. Your money can go further with a different brand I think.

Im contacting Samsung too see if they can get the issues fixed.
