Excellent tv although has some software set backs

Wish I woulda got a LG instead of Samsung I really don’t like the Samsung set up and it doesn’t have all the apps my LG tv had that I liked and u can’t download them either I tried. It’s not as compatible with my iPhone either as log and other tvs are.

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the brightness of your TU7000 TV’s picture. Please know that we are here to help you.
First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.
Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings.
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

I got a better TV and better price that I would’ve last year at Black Friday when I was looking. I would recommend it.

Usual Samsung quality not here......

The unit will shut off periodically and the led screen appears to be falling out of the framework. I would not recommend this Samsung model amd that stings saying that because I usually endorse Samsung products. To add insult to injury, I purchased a 5 year warranty on this tv and Geek Squad referred me to Samsung to use the Manufacturer Warranty, because they don't have a tech in the area. Why offer a warranty Best Buy if you're not going to honor it?

Screen has cloudy spots.

Out of the box the screen has very noticable cloudy blotches when displaying dark images. I considered just learning to live with it, but desided that it cost too much to settle. I called Best Buys 888 number and was told that they did not have the product in stock to exchange it. I was directed to go to a local store and ask them if i could exchange it there. I understand to a degree, they cant help that they are out of stock. If the local store says its ok to exchange this TV without a box (I already got rid of it sadly) I would then have to rent a van to transport it, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by having it delivered in the first place. Sigh... I'll be going to Beat Buy tomorrow to talk to someone there and explain my situatuon and hopefully get the ok to bring it back without a box. Don't assume becuase you're buying a Samsung that its going to arrive flawless. ...and don't get rid of the box until the exchange period has run out, you never know what you may discover a week later.
