The sound is adequate. Easy setup and menu settings for picture, sound and other adjustments are user friendly. Improvements could be made to the tv remote as buttons are small and close together and remote is slow to respond with television. There are other tv's with a better picture and more features and connections but you would have to spend a lot more. I think this is a good television for the average user.
