Just finished a basement and setup a media room. I was debating between a projector, 4K 75 inch and the 1080p 75 inch. Ruled out the projector and decided on the TV route. My viewing distance is 10-11 feet. Researching the benefits of 4K vs 1080 at this distance showed that there was no difference between the two resolutions (Rtings.com has some excellent reading material on the viewing distances at various resolutions). Made no sense to spent $4200 on the Samsung 75 inch 4K when there were no or little visual benefits to be had for my viewing distance. I am partial to Samsung TVs for their quality, and the Vizio was ruled out. The comparable Sony 75 inch had a lower score than the Samsung on Rtings, and 3D was not a feature I cared about. I have had the TV for a week now and the picture clarity is tremendous. I would highly recommend this TV if you want to go 75 inch, and not pay 2000 more for 4K in a Samsung. I expect 4K to be mainstream in a few years (2020 perhaps?), where one can go to a redox and rent a 4K disc as a 1080P disc today when it will be more economically feasible to purchase. For today, this made the most sense to buy in a 75.

I will first say that the picture on this TV is very nice. It has great color representation, and nice detail; however, there is one flaw that makes this TV in this size bad, flash-lighting. I am on my 3rd j6300 and each one has a flaw in the lower left hand corner of the panel that projects a beam of white light about 3-4 inches into the panel. This is not noticeable during the day and during bright scenes. But during dark scenes, especially at night, it is glaring and distracting. I believe I will be returning this one out right, and trying a different brand or model. I have had good luck in the past with Samsung TVs, and I am disappointed by they quality of this model.

Amazing TV. Waited for the price to drop. Got an amazing deal. Much prefer a 75" HDTV to a 65" 4K TV for the same price. Would prefer an 85" but refuse to pay 5X the cost of this TV for an 85" 4K TV. Wish there were 85" and larger HDTV's - 2K not 4K. Virtually NO 4K content so what is the point? Replaced my 5 year old 55" mounted on the wall in the family room. Seeing a 55" side by side with a 75" at Best Buy convinced me.

I am very happy with my purchase and have absolutely no regrets. The picture quality is outstanding and Netflix, Blu Ray and HD Cable produce exceptional output. I have not played Xbox yet, but I am sure I will not be disappointed. All components listed above, run through a receiver, with only the HDMI cable and optical cable feeding the receiver from the tv. $1999 and 24 months no interest is icing on the cake. My home theater is even more fun now.

Great tv for the price and size. Samsung quality all the way with all the new features you would need and to keep your kids happy.

DON'T EVER BUY A SAMSUNG TV.....SUPPORT SUCKS! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR WHAT THEY SOLD YOU! ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY.....BUY FROM LG, SONY, PANASONIC OR OTHERS STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG......TV'S ARE JUNK..YOU ARE LUCKY IF THEY LESS 1 YEAR!
