Buyer Beware

As far as service we received excellent service in the store. We scheduled our installation and checked 3 times because our installation date was July 4th. We were assured it would happed. I wasnt going to do it then but as far out as we would have to i agreed to July 4th even though it is a national holiday and our wedding anniversary and we had plans. Fast forward to the week before installation i get two calls confirming installation then on day 3 get a call to cancel installation on July 4th because it is a holiday. So much for our anniversary plans that couldnt be remade because everything was booked for July 4th. We cannot match up dates that we are off at this point. I will be canceling my total tech membership and shopping elsewhere.

We appreciate your feedback on the CU7000 TV's image quality. I believe what you are describing is a feature called Auto Motion Plus, which eliminates ghosting and blurring that occurs from fast-moving images. These motion smoothing settings look great on live TVs, like sporting events or parades, which are filmed at 30 frames per second. Most movies, however, are filmed at 24 frames per second and are not intended to be viewed with these features. When turned on, this causes the dreaded soap opera effect.
To Change Motion smoothing settings on your TV:
Navigate to Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus Settings (Picture Clarity Settings).
1. The default setting is Auto. This means the feature automatically turns on and off based on the type of program being watched.
2. Select Auto Motion Plus (Picture Clarity) to change the setting to either Off or Custom.
If you select Custom, three additional options are available:
• Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting.
• Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
• LED Clear Motion: This option allows you to configure the LED backlight to sharpen fast-moving images. Select to turn On or Off.

Thank you for providing feedback on the CU7000 TV. Please know that the CU7000 TV does have a built-in tuner, but you need to connect a stand-alone antenna to be able to access local channels.
To set up your local channels, please follow these steps:
1) Make sure your Antenna or Cable box is set up, and then connect it to the TV vis the ANT IN.
2) Go to Source> TV
3) Press Setting> All Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program
4) Start to begin Auto-Programming, and then select either Air, Cable, or Both
5) Your TV will begin to scan for channels. After it's done, select Close to finish

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.been waiting to have my television resolved for over 2 months its finally aupposed to be resolved today between 12:30 -and 4 but it been a nightmare in-between ive spoken to atleast 15 customer service reps the response is always inconsistent ive never felt like a prisoner of a purchase until this horrible the tv for the price is just ok its cheaply produced which is just the beginning of the problem there was frame separation overall concerning but the picture isnt bad doesn't help its not great either id recommend it depending on where the recommendation is going

The sound does not work

Awful quality and service

Tv currently has dark spots in multiple locations. Customer service was terrible. I was told i need to purchase a new $700 panel and that my first mistake was purchasing a samsung. Completely let down by best buy and samsung, 2 companies i will never support again.

Samsung lasted 9 days

Set up is complicated and Samsung is pushing sales of other items. Samsung requires an account and wants long passwords and 3 part verifications to “protect” your information which they should not be asking for. Samsung is not quality. Tv no longer works and I am not regretting hanging it on the wall. My last TV last 12 years. This one 9 days. Save your money.

BEWARE OF SERVICE PLAN SCAM!

My 10 year old TV connected to the same internet from the same spot, and remembered the password all the time. As of now I am annoyed and unhappy. Will update review when the problem is resolved.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience with Samsung’s CU7000 TV has fallen short of your expectations. Your feedback is very important to us and will be shared with our internal product team. There are various settings available that may improve the image and audio issues you are experiencing.
Please know the TV will upscale any content sent to it as best as possible. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve picture clarity:
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receivers, IPTV, and set-top boxes, to UHD or HD.
4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings
5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.
In regards to low volume, there are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode.
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
