I’m giving it 3stars because this is my 3rd Samsung TV, my last was the 65 of the earlier 8 series & I must say the picture was even better than this. There’s too much Contrast or something that makes the pictures not look too original. I’m hoping with Software Ugrades, we’ll get there.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with the CU8000 TV. Your feedback regarding image quality is essential to us and will be shared with our internal teams. If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: This is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. \
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness, and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).
I also recommend ensuring you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Extremely disappointing

The warranty expired 6 months ago. The cost to attempt to repair it is nearly the cost of a new TV. $950 is a lot of money for a TV that only lasted 18 months. Now I have to worry about disposing of this huge piece of garbage. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for selling such garbage.

The picture quality on all my other ones, 55in and smaller are much better. I even returned the first 75inch thinking something was wrong with it as had white spots on dark scenes but the new one had it too. Its flimsy and bends easy. Do not recommend anything bigger then 75 as for some reason Samsung can't make a good tv any bigger then that

We appreciate your feedback on the image quality of the CU8000 TV. I have a few troubleshooting steps to resolve any issues you are experiencing with the picture you are seeing.
First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, run a diagnostic test. Go to Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. If there are no issues during the Picture Test, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the issue, first, try replacing the cable of the external device that is showing lines.
- If the shadows still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device.
- If shadows appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step.
If dots/shadows appear during your test, the TV will need service. Please reach out to us so we can schedule a warranty appointment. 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week.
