To add insult to injury, the TV has no optical input port, so adding a sound bar or surround sound system is not possible.

The DU6950 TV offers 2 HDMI ports and is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capable, allowing a seamless connection across multiple devices at a time. If your external device requires an Optical port, we recommend utilizing an HDMI to Optical Converter. These can be found at your local electronics store. Please also keep in mind that an Optical port can be found on our DU8000F Series and above.

The size is perfect for our living room and the picture quality is exceptional. The only improvement that could be made is with the sound. The volume has to be turned up very high just to get normal sound. We ended up having to buy a soundbar because we could not hear very well.

Utilizing more than two HDMI products will prove difficult. Which is why I wouldn't recommend this particular model. I do understand that Samsung has rectified the HMDI shortage. Outside of that, I'm satisfied with the TV.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung's DU6950 TV and for your feedback on the sound. To ensure you’ve got the latest sound quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the sound is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal preferences.
• Sound Modes may better meet your personal preferences. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode, or Expert Settings to fine-tune and customize your sound.
• Adaptive Sound will also further optimize sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings.

It’s very large, thought my old tv was bigger than it was so this was a pleasant and unexpected surprise (I learned to start measuring before going crazy with ordering because I had to upgrade my tv stand too)

I already love Samsung products and this is my 1st time purchasing a Samsung television and it does not disappoint. The picture and sound is very good. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this brand… don’t be. It’s really big so make sure you TV stand or entertainment center can accommodate it. If you like music don’t hesitate to buy a surround sound system or sound bar to amplify your experience although the sound is already awesome.
