I would not recommend this tv without one. I’m finding the remote fairly difficult to operate compared with the old Samsung type. Especially as it is very similar to the sound bar remote. I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings.

So oI decided to go bigger to 75 inch. It is not holding my programef channels at all and the remote really surprised me with no channel buttons. If you don’t same the channels to favorites you will have to go through a list to get to your channels, if I knew that i would never have purchased this tv

You can designate frequently watched channels as favorite channels. Favorite channels are highlighted in the Edit Channels and Channel List screens with the heart symbol. You can create up to five favorites lists so that your family members can create their own personal favorites list. Go to:
Home > Live TV > Channel List > Edit Channels
1) Press the left directional button on the remote control to select the desired Favorites list.
2) Press the right-directional button to select Add Channels.
3) Select the desired channel in the list on the screen.
4) Press Add Channels to add the selected channel in the Favorites list. Select Favorites 1 - Favorites 5 on the Edit Channels screen, and the following functions are available (Add Channels, Remove, Change Order, & Rename Favorites)

This TV has Great picture, but the Sound is the weak spot. You must get a soundbar (Samsung bluetooth soundbar) and it completes the package.

The picture quality is just enough to enjoy without complaint but be warned the sound quality is awful. I did not expect this considering its a Samsung product. Had to buy soundbar to compensate. I guess when you buy a budget TV on sale you get exactly just that.
