Something wrong with his wifi receiver.

Decent TV for the price.

No Optical Port!

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung DU6950 TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections
2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines.
3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?
4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?
5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)
6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Worse decision ever!!

Samsung is giving me a complete run around in regards to a refund or replacement. However, they are trying to repair under warranty. The repair company came out on today with a part that they “assumed” would fix the issue. It did not! Now I’m waiting for a replacement screen to be ordered and brought out to my home. Dealing with the Samsung warranty has already been going on for nearly 3 weeks, and I’m still not able to enjoy my purchase. Please consider a different brand to possibly avoid this headache!!

Would not recommend

Like it either kicks me off the app I'm watching or it shuts off completely and restarts and i can barely get through a movie without it being disrupted. At first I thought is was a minor glitch, but it seems this TV, at least the one I purchased is detective. I haven't had it more than a month. I want to return it.

It’s unfortunate to hear your DU6950 TV is turning off by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

Picture Great but many other issues

If your TV appears to turn off by itself, try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions.
See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Settings > All Settings> General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer
If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it.
- Settings > All Settings> General > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off
