The tv seemed great in the beginning. Unless you are directly in front of the tv, the picture is washed out. The sound is so so. Nothing spectacular. I bought the tv on Black Friday 2024. Here I am Feb 3 2025 and the tv won’t even turn on and is no longer returnable.

      Jazzy,

I'm sorry that your DU6950 TV will not turn on. Please know we are here to help and have a few troubleshooting tips for you to try.

Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. If it is on, it means that your TV is receiving power, and the culprit is likely the remote. Please try to power the TV on through the button below the Samsung logo. If it powers on, I recommend changing the batteries on the remote and possibly replacing the remote.

If the red light below the TV is not on, please try the following:

      1) Unplug the TV from its power source for 30 seconds. Then try to power it on again.
      2) Try a different outlet that you have confirmed works properly
      3) Press the Menu button on your remote. If the Menu appears, then this confirms your TV is powered on. Next, follow these steps:

・Confirm that the TV is set to the same source as the external device.
・Test the HDMI cable. Go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
・Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port.

If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.

Finally, if the red standby light is blinking, please try unplugging the TV for 30 seconds and then try again. Also, confirm that the outlet you are using works with other devices.

If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

TV was delivered defective!!! Glitches when it turns on and screen seizes while making a fast clicking noise. Takes 3min (yes, I timed and recorded it) to turn on and show the home screen. Adding insult to injury, I had the TV mounted after it was delivered and Best Buy is trying to charge me to have someone take it down in order to do an in home replacement. Mind you, I'm 4'9" and there's no way I can take this TV off the wall. I paid to get it mounted, it's broken, and now I have to pay to get it taken down AND put back up. THIS IS A JOKE!!!!

I would give zero stars if I could. I had the tv for 21 days and the screen went black. Best Buy was no help told me to reach out to the manufacturer. Waiting for their service to show up and attempt to repair it. What happened to the days when the store would assist the customer with the manufacturer to get things resolved. I won’t be purchasing anything else from Best Buy in the future. They said they only help in the first 14 days. Wow

Nothing good to be said about this tv like for starters the picutre is so dim that the quality looks horrible and if you have any light in the room with the tv it basicly becomes a mirror with how much reflection it gets. No EARC for soundbars and its only 60hz so for sports or video games this is horrible . I had to sell this tv because i coudnt stand the picure quality after a week and went with a neo qled instead and now im so much happier

It’s Terrible In Color Clarity & Sound as well as not being compatible to other Sound Bars that’s not Sam’s brand & wireless.. it was a scam to me to buy 75 inch and get a 43 inch Samsung TV as well so therefore I think you knew the TV was terrible and I should get the $400 winning as a compensation for being Disappointment in your product.. But I will continue to shop there for other appliances or products and Purchase an other 75in TV of Brand with 4 Ports & USB instead of 2 Ports.. SMGDH.. “ Rip Off..

      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

      BeatrizH,

Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume. There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.

      1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.

      2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.

      3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode.

Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

      CDOrl,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung DU6950 TV. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV turns on and off repeatedly.

Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.

      2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it), or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.

      4) If the power cycling allows enough time between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement. You can call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      JuanT,

We appreciate you sharing your experience and that your TV exhibited damage upon opening and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation – laid on its side or tilted – during transit, damage could have been done.

We recommend contacting Best Buy Customer Support or your local Best Buy store directly for assistance in correcting this situation. We hope your issue is resolved quickly. It simply doesn’t work

I don’t know what’s wrong with this TV but it simply doesn’t work. Every single time I turn it on, it takes 5 to 10 minutes to actually be able to watch anything. It gets frozen, it turns on and off constantly, makes the weirdest noises. I tried to update the software a couple times but still not working. I’ll return it.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
