    This is a great TV, BUT, had I known there was a separate box for the cables to attach to, I’d have not bought it... We have a solid wall mount with all cables hidden in-wall and the separate box used for cable management is a huge hassle. The one cable that goes between the TV and the box easily separates making setup nearly impossible. Why on earth in this day is a separate box needed, especially considering the thickness of the TV?!?!

    We are now on our third of this television. The first two developed the exact same problem - areas of the TV where the pixels were less bright than the rest of the screen (no pixels ever went out, but they were noticeably dimmer). Samsung customer service was horrible. Do yourself a favor and avoid Samsung all-together OR absolutely invest in BestBuy's Geek Squad service because this last time it started doing it, they did replace the entire screen and we essentially got a brand new TV. However, the fact remains that we are incredibly disappointed to go through three of these televisions in just three years.

    The television played nicely for 23 months before it developed problems with the picture panel which I later found out was a defective model. Samsung sent 5 replacement panels which were all defective before they refunded the purchase price of the television.

    Tv picture is great, motion is awesome, display and apps are very easy to use. However, the WiFi Connection is terrible. This tv would never stay connected to my WiFi. I went online and found several websites with many Samsung TV owners who experienced this problem. I googled “Samsung tv won’t stay connected to WiFi” and found I wasn’t the only one having problems. Best Buy wouldn’t help because once I leave the store it’s Samsung’s problem. Called Samsung 3 times. Their response each time was “it’s an internet security problem, call your provider.” It wasn’t. Each time I turned the tv on, all of my devices connected to WiFi (phones, laptop, nest thermostat) would disconnect. I had to reset my modem/router each time. Never had this problem before getting this tv. Now, my tv is hardwired with a cat6 Ethernet cable and works perfectly. So, hopefully this doesn’t happen to you but knowing what I know now, with no support from Best Buy or Samsung, I would look at a different tv. Good luck.

    dead pixels within a year

    TV was great until my picture quality went terrible. I got it fixed once during warranty and it happen again and my tv was out of warranty. Dead pixels which made my TV have white lines going through.

    I was looking for a 75" TV, budget $3000 at maximum, and obviously I want the best TV for my money. Well I ended up buying a 75" MU8000 from Best Buy within my budget, I've had it for 6 days now. Best Buy/Geek Squad delivered it for free, and mounted it for free, while I worked from the couch on a Friday afternoon. And I absolutely love my TV, I may not be a videophile on the level of some of the people here, in fact I am certain I am more of a regular joe viewer, but I see nothing wrong with my TV it's fantastic and exactly what I was looking for. A 75" premium 4k TV that looks GORGEOUS. It's bright, it does well in my brightly lit living room with three 8 foot windows to the left, and 3 more directly across from it (about 18-20 feet away). I sit about 11-12 feet away and it's great. Off axis viewing is also pretty good. I have no complaints. Amazon and Netflix 4k is otherworldly, i've only watched a couple things but phew its awesome. If you are a videophile you may find things wrong with it, but if you're a regular joe, buy with confidence.

    This TV had dead back lighting after 2 years of use. Samsung support barely did anything to help. for a TV that was $2K at the time, I thought they would offer more help than this. This is my 3rd Samsung product to die on my in a short time so needless to say I'm done with this company.

    I bought it at Thanksgiving 2017 and started having problems 3 months later. Vertical black lines that appeared across the entire screen. They tried 5 times to repair it and never could. I bought a SONY 85 INCH TV and it is much better than Sansung.

    I wasn't looking to break the bank upgrading from my Samsung 63 inch Plasma. I just wanted a reputable 4K display for watching movies/playing video games with HDR. This TV did not disappoint! Although not QLED or OLED (which for a decent display can run $6000+ for anything above 70 inches), the UN75MU8000's picture quality and additions are outstanding for it's price-point. You get HDR, very deep blacks, bright brights, 4K apps (now including Plex for 2017), and the remote is more usable than I thought. The TV found all the manufacturer information of all my devices that I plugged into it, including DirecTV. As of now, I have my devices running to the TV, passing though to the amp. Previously, I had everything hooking up to my amp, and passing through to the TV. I'm still testing the different audio codecs for pass through (I'll update later). But the addition of HDR for movies and gaming is stellar (keep in mind that this TV only supports HDR 10, not Dolby Vision)! I even went out and bought an Xbox One S for my affordable 4K UHD Blu-Ray player. Anyone recommend a good movie that will showcase all this? One nice surprise was that I was able to Bluetooth my Beats Studios to the display, so I can watch movies late at night without waking everyone up. Or, if you have a set of Bluetooth speakers in the backyard, you can have Pandora streaming through the Pandora app on the TV to the backyard. Very nice! The only issue I have (and this is the only reason I did not give 5 stars) is that when using a universal remote, such as Harmony, Tizon OS goes crazy. I am having difficulty finding the sweet spot between my Harmony remote and the TV where the OS does not keep switching apps on me. It's difficult to explain, but if you have a Harmony remote and this TV, you would understand. So, on my older Plazma, I was able to use one remote, my Harmony. With this new TV, I have to use a combo with the Harmony and the Samsung remote for the Apps. Other than that, I recommend this display for anyone on a budget. If you have no limit, I would go for the Samsung QLED or LG OLED. Either way, make sure you get an HDR enabled display (do your research on HDR-10 and Dolby Vision first because certain devices only support one or the other, sometimes both). Good times!

    Wow! So disappointed in a Samsung “8000 Series” TV. Horrible Vertical banding! Can’t ignore it once you spot it. I’ve purchased so many Samsung TVS at Best Buy! No more!

    Do NOT waste your money!! This tv has been getting worse for nearly a year. Of course it happens a month after geek squad protection expires. N replacing the screen is more than just buying a new one. This tv isn’t even 3 years old!!!!! Super mad

    After only three months this new $2700 television from Best Buy with $600 geek squad installation has a blue line down the center and sometimes thumbs with surround sound on. Best Buy told me to call the manufacturer.

    This TV was a bitter disappointment. Visible vertical bars just after warranty expired. I tolerated the horrible picture and replaced it after 3 years. Total waste of money.

    this TV has served our family very well for the last four years. Still going strong color is dynamic. I couldn’t be happier when I notice others of my friends and family members. The color difference is just drastic so glad that we purchased this.

    I received the tv in a used box without the remote or instruction manual. It was obviously used. I returned it and purchased a Sony instead.

    Had a green tint to it that did not go away even after adjusting it...tried several recommended settings nothing worked. I used to love Samsung
