Worse purchase I've ever made!

I got to watch it that night and ever since it just shuts off and comes back on all by its self!! It does this every few seconds. You have to unplug it to keep it off!!! Called Samsung customer service he was no help! He's sending me a new remote!!! I've never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life!!!! So I did some research and this is a common problem!!!! I did read reviews before I bought this and not one person said they had this happen!!! I would not buy this TV again!!! Beware!!!

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing the power cycling issue.
Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1. Check the Invisible Connection Cable for damage and proper connection.
If the Invisible Connection Cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
2. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
3. If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest Firmware. Simply click on the link and update TV with the latest version 1153.1:

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.

Samsung not what it used to be
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased Samsung mu8000 75 inch lasted 7 months Samsung replaced and upgraded to the QLED 75 tv looks fine but can’t hook up external speakers do to optical port not functional . It won’t accept optical cable Samsung said they would send another one connect box. I waited 3 weeks no box called support now they tell me they do not have one connect box for 2018 model , that’s right you heard it 2018 model no parts, now they want to sen a tv repair guy to connect my optical cable. I have no trouble connecting optical cable to anything else what a crock, 3000 dollars spent on a tv that doesn’t work properly from day one. Be warned about buying Samsung products anymore. Might as well put candle in a cardboard box and watch it flicker.

Had to return

30 minutes in and I’m disgusted

But after unboxing and trying to attach stand to back of the tv, discovered the M6 bolts are way too short to engage the threads in the tv. Samsung customer support was very unhelpful, but told me that if I use longer bolts I will not void the warranty. The will ship me replacements in 5-10 days. Unacceptable. So is spending $2,800 on a tv that is still lying on the floor unusable. I am really disappointed and angry. Terrible experience, Samsung.

Please understand that we do not include wall mount screws because not every wall will require the same type of screw. Each customer’s mounting situation can be very different, requiring specific screws to ensure the best, most secure fit. A generic screw type included in the box might be inappropriate for a customer’s wall; the result could be the customer inadvertently mounting his TV insecurely.
If needed, you can find the screws at any hardware store, Screw Size M8 x 45mm
Details, including diagrams and images of wall mounting can be found on page 7 of the user manual.

Screen went dark in places just 15 months

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After much pushing and shoving, Samsung replaced the TV with an inferior model although the same size in February. 1 week after installing brand new in box replacement, the motherboard had to be replaced. The speakers sound like they are blown. Tried every different sound option. Cannot understand any words and all sound is distorted. Samsung won't even return my service request call. Samsung does not make TV's like they used to. BEWARE

Great picture....concerned with issues

Setup was simple and connecting devices to the OneConnect was straightforward. A few weeks into it, my TV starting turning on and off by itself. Firmware was up to date. FInally disconnected the OneConnect wire from the box, recycled power and reconnected the wire and problem seems to be resolved. This issue has occured twice in the last 2 months. Another issue that I occassionally see is that the connection to the Samsung sound bar is lost and the TV speakers are used instead. Not a big deal as you can just select the SoundBar from Audio settings but it does become a nuisance. The other complaint is that the Samsung Smart App on the phone doesnt quite connect well with the TV such as trying to load pictures via the APP to the tv. App should be more intuitive. Got to hear Dolbly ATMOS but only through the Amazon fire TV (3rd gen). Great sound.

Awesome picture when it works.

Tv got delivered at 8am and by the time it was mounted and setup it lasted a whole 20 minutes before the power cycling fiasco. Tried everything and would not stop. Cant even power the tv off without it turning itself back on. Should have looked up all the problems you can find on google but instead picked a tv based on the review of its picture. Worthless if you cant keep the tv running long enough to watch the pregame show. Returning for a Sony. Have never had quality issues with sony and really hoped this Samsung would be as good as it looked. Ps-the ads and tv garbage that comes preprogrammed in this tv is annoying too.

Good while it lasted.

Good picture if it would work right

I’ve had this tv for 8 months now and it has started randomly turning off and on. After about 30 minutes of watching it will start and then it’s every 30 seconds until you give up turn it off and go watch elsewhere. This is the 5th week of me not being able to use my $3500 tv. Samsung sent a new one connect box which took about 3 weeks including phone calls and them actually shipping it. Of course it did not fix the issue as this is a known problem with this tv now and the online forums show this and that is not a solution. Now I’m waiting for them to send a USB drive with updated firmware which from what I understand is not going to fix it either. I’ve had several TVs from them all without issue and of course the most expensive one is unusable. This is the last I’ll buy from them mainly because how long it’s taking to solve this.

Picture is amazing

When first installed the picture was incredible but I did not like Blue Ray movies still had black bars. After about a month I noticed my Samsung Surround sound no longer communicates with the TV and now it says that the TV is not plugged in correctly. The reason I post this is now the TV won’t turn on. I have called Samsung several times and they say it’s the power cord that’s faulty. Instead of overnighting it to me, it may take up to two weeks to arrive. I doubt my surround sound is broken as they told me since it is a year old. Something is wrong with this tv, #Samsung I will not purchase anymore products as I am not satisfied with this purchase
