Product damaged badly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The item was delivered open box with permanent scrapes all over the screen and the corners of the TV bent inward. Will never purchase from best buy again.

Absolutely Love it So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the vibrant picture and the smart tv features. The universal remote is awesome for programming everything to your remote. The Smart TV makes watching TV, YouTube, and your other sources fun. My only complaint is you can’t always enjoy the beautiful picture because everything is not 4K ready yet. Would recommend to buy to anyone. Rarely when watching action movies the screen motion is fast and looks barely blurry but BARELY. When playing video games the game mode gets rid of that and it’s extra smooth.

Amazing 75" TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best TV I've owned. I chose QLED over OLED since I use it half the time with my computer and OLED burn in is too big of a risk, plus OLED brightness fades over time. The display is bright! In fact at night full brightness is a bit much and using the automatic dimmer might be required, but the brightness can really look amazing. My final purchase decision was a 75" Q8 or 65" Q9 because of the cost and took the advice that the bigger size of the Q8 was a bigger upgrade than the larger number of dimming zones on the Q9 (40 vs. 400) and I agree. For the most part black looks completely dark black, but if you set it to the highest local dimming setting you can see a halo for example when watching credits at night, and the halo is larger on the Q8 vs. the Q9. And I prefer the fact that the Q8 doesn't have a separate box for connections. It took a lot of tweaking to get the settings the way I want but the end result looks awesome. I'm using a stereo receiver for sound so can't comment too much on the sound quality, but before I connected the receiver it sounded pretty good just from the TV. Some may not like that the remote doesn't include a number pad, but it isn't a problem for me. One complaint I do have is the motion setting has too many artifacts on the highest setting. I had to dial it back quite a bit to get rid of the artifacts. It was hard to find a TV stand this would fit on, if you're looking for a good stand check out the Bell'O CW342 65" TV Stand (you will likely have to order it).

Simply Amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are so pleased with this TV. We contemplated buying an OLED, but we are thrilled that we purchased this instead. We have a bright family room, and we have no noticeable glare. That was a major concern with the OLED. Plus, the cost of this was much less, and we were able to purchase a much larger screen for less money. The picture is so vibrant, and the blacks are tremendous. Don’t hesitate to buy if you are on the fence... like we were. I think you will be very happy with your investment!

Excellent Set
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose this after looking closely at LG's OLEDs and SONY - both in store and at home settings. The SAMSUNG prevailed - best contrast and colors - deep blacks - and backlighting - worth the step up from the Q7. Also, viewing angles are much better than other sets. Minimal reflection as well. After having it for 3 weeks - magnificent picture and sound. This replaced a relatively recent LG - 4k Bluray on this is also amazing.

Great or not - depends on what you're watching
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BLUF: I just arranged to swap mine for the Sony X900. I hope it turns out to be worth the hassle. A note about Best Buy - I have had several phone conversations with Best Buy customer support, had the Geek folks to the house a couple of times, and shopped at three Best Buy locations. My experience with Best Buy & Geek Squad customer support has been excellent. Always courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Will definitely use them again and would recommend to friends/family. About the TV: This TV is great when it's displaying great, high quality, content - high bit rate 4K. I would recommend it to anyone who can ensure high quality content. Great color (turn down the saturation), clarity, & brightness. However, drop the quality of the content (some, not all, major network shows e.g Seals, etc.) and it shows its flaws; color banding (how it handles color gradients) and motion judder while camera pans across a scene or a person/object moves across the screen (compression algorithm of content?). Occurred using DirecTV, Netflix, & Amazon. Once I noticed it I could not not notice it and its awful. I tried a variety of adjustments and improved it substantially but could not solve those two issues (Samsung - the judder was the deal breaker). However, after adjustments, sports displayed well for me - NCAAFB, Hockey, Racing, & NFL (High quality broadcast content?). My third complaint would be the ads in the menu - not terrible but always defaulted to the advertised source. Not crazy about the remote either because you can't easily select a function that typically uses a dedicated button; e.g. A B C D, or dedicated Netflix button. However the remote is petite and the menu functions are easy to navigate. I did not try the voice functions and doing so might alleviate the dedicated button complaint.

Obviously Huge, Specs Deliver an Unlimate Display
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nearly 100 pounds of Near Plasma Quality yet Way Brighter! Out the box the 75 inch Needs to Be tweaked using Settings in Picture. After a couple of hours I found myself fully immersed on Netflix 4k, Amazon, and YouTube 4k.. WOW!!!! On a 75 inch panel YOU WILL SEE the difference in detail and appreciate the lengths of colors/grayscale vs blacks. Outrageous Contrast. Worth every penny. The sound without any home theater is above average. I also purchased the HE850 w/ optional wireless Rear speakers Nd I MUST admit , it's an ear to ear smiling experience. My previous TV was a 65 inch Samsung Plasma 11 years ago. In All, In order to appreciate the Display you need to research 4k resolution content before purchasing. Cheers

Great TV as expected!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much deliberation I decided to finally join the big leagues and buy a big boy TV. I wasn't the slightest bit disappointed, if anything I was, and still very much am, supremely impressed by this TV. The colors are amazing and the blacks are very deep. The remote is simple and the tv is very quick.

Surprised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this television to replace an OLED which had developed burn-in so I wasn't expecting the quality of the picture to measure up to my 65" OLED. I have been pleasantly surprised by the picture quality and brightness of the QLED. The fact that burn-in is no longer a concern makes this choice a win-win.

That Brightness Though!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched Sony's, Samsung, and LG's for over a year before pulling the trigger on this Q8. I felt that it was a top of the line TV while not having the bigger price tag of the Q9. The black level on this tv is great. It cannot beat oled but I believe the brightness that this tv produces counterbalance not having the perfect blacks. Turn this thing on Dynamic mode and watch a video game or 4k video and you would need sunglasses if you were in a completely dark room (you can turn the brightness down as well). My tv is next to a window so when we are watching football on Saturday's, it will be great to have this bright Q8! The tv os works well. I use a Logitech remote instead of the factory Samsung remote. You can hook up your Xbox One X and play games at 1440p at 120fps! It is a nice function but I moved my connection back to my receiver. The picture looks great, black levels are excellent for an LCD tv, and I highly recommend it!

The Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this tv for about 2 months. It has truly been an experience since I got it. The picture is amazing. It is so crisp and sharp that sometimes I feel like the programming that I’m watching seems...fake. Not in a bad way, it just looks to good to be a production. My fiancé and I often laugh because we are so caught up by how good things look on it. I use a sound system with it so I can’t attest to the speakers of the unit. The set up was super easy and the tv itself is super easy. I have not used the smart tv functions at all. I watch iTunes and associated applications from an Apple TV. I use direct tv for basically football season. No complaints with either systems usage / interface with this tv. I also play a lot of Xbox One on this tv. No issues whatsoever and it’s great to play on. Oddly I never notice the screen delay that I was trying to explain above when watching action scenes. If I was going to complain about anything it would be that when there is quick action sometimes there is a little delay? in the scene. Not a lot. Maybe a hand of someone is swinging, a sword durning the sword fight, horses legs when trotting or running in a herd. It’s not a lot. It doesn’t bother me that much but I have noticed it. To note, I do have a 75 inch tv so maybe size has something to do with it. I have also noticed that when watching football, the grass between players get looks...blurry. Once again not anything that upsets me but I still notice it. Once last thing that I’d say isn’t optimal is that if you had old content to watch that wasn’t HD then be prepared for a blurry or obviously pixelated experience. Even with what I deem as not perfect things, I would buy this TV in a second. One of the best home purchases that I have made and I am still excited to get home and watch it, especially anything in 4K.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Color and contrast are great. Great tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After nearly a year of reviewing and half buying a tv, the 2019 Samsung models came out. I went to the store and saw the new 7 series QLED next to this and made up my mind this was the right choice. Extremely happy with the product. Setup was simple, picture is beautiful, black levels great. The only small issue is no surprise, on occasions there is some image blur with fast moving objects mostly with white backgrounds. Hopefully there’s an update that can help with that but who knows. Even with that I’m still confident in a 5 star rating. Had an issue with the remote after about a week. Called Samsung support and within 5 minutes they had connected and fixed the issue.

Best. TV. Ever.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this one and the 9QF side by side in the store and could only tell slight, minor differences in picture quality. The salesperson had to point them out to me. But once I had seen the difference, it occurred to me that the price difference between the two was definitely more noticeable. The picture quality on this tv is just short of perfect, just as good if not better than some aspects of its top competitors tv. Set up was a little slow for me as I’m not familiar with all the functions of this spaceship, and the remote is fairly sparse on buttons and controls. Most of the setup is done in-menu on the on screen controls, which takes a little bit to sort out. Not too complicated so that a mailman couldn’t do it (which I am) but definitely takes some navigating around. You could pay the extra dough for in home set up if that is your preference. But if you just want to watch some tv and load all of your favorite streaming services onboard, it’s not too hard to figure out. Samsung has made another quality product with this line of televisions. This would be my 4th and I’m still satisfied.

Best TV ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV and the best TV I have ever owned. It wasn’t the flagship model but a step lower but it was a significant upgrade from my older Samsung 4K TV. The localized dimming is excellent so is the brightness but it really shines through when you pair it with the new Xbox One X as it is compliant with FreeSync. It’s better than most gaming monitors I own! And all of this in stunning 4K HDR. Highly recommend this TV.

Awesome Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second big screen Samsung. The first TV was great but the Smart TV aspects were only ok. This TV has an amazing picture and works great with streaming apps and our external Samsung sound bar. Overall this is a great TV.
