Samsung looks for any reason NOT to honor warranty

The picture went black with a blue hue. Called Best Buy. They said they couldn't do anything even though still under warranty and we had to call Samsung. You don't get a human being ever and they send you pages and pages of things to try to trouble shoot on your own. Finally get a 'text' person to chat with. It took over an hour and a half for him/her to verify the validity of the warranty and then issue a service repair ticket first telling us the repair would be at no cost. Later wrote It may result in a charge. Worst Consumer relations ever. (And at the cost of a 75 inch TV) to lose its picture in under a year, speaks for itself. If you value your time, and a company that honors their word, I would not recommend purchasing from Samsung.

Samsung No More

The picture was nice. One day we turn it on and the screen shows a crack, not visible on the outside. Called both Best Buy and Samsung. Samsung sent out a technician, they determined through a picture that there was "physical damage". Mind, there was nothing done to this TV. My poor review is based on the policy of Samsung, they will do nothing to rectify this situation and it is only 6 months old, technically still under warranty. I have a Samsung washer and dryer, but can not ethically stay with them as a consumer and will be looking into other brands, as I have to purchase a whole new TV.

I am very sorry for the unfortunate situation with a crack having developed in your screen. Please know that a crack will not spontaneously develop; a physical impact – perhaps small, but done at just a certain degree – would be the most likely cause.
