DO NOT BUY- Go to alternate TV store!

I ordered from BestBuy.com and when it arrived, (after delivery left) I unboxed to find an 8" scratch on TV. I waited another 2 weeks for a delivery. Fast forward only 5 months and the tv will not stay on. Powers on for 10 seconds and goes off. But then turns itself back on again for 10 seconds. The only control for the tv is the one remote- remote dies or lose it - you can not operate the tv. Best Buy shoves this off as a "Manufacture Warantee" and will not do anything else to assist unless you bough their "Geek Squad Coverage" (If you buy this TV pay double because you will have problems."

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q70T TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.
Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to
Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement.

Very disappointed with Geek Squad.

I bought the extended warranty but instead of replacing the tv, I have to wait on parts. I've been without a tv for over the month. I am still waiting on the parts. I thought buying a higher end tv would be great. This sucks!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we got this tv to replace our 55" 8 series UHD tv but ended up returning it. while the size is great, the picture just was not what i was expecting, based on how far technology had come since we purchased our 55". it is certainly a nice picture, but coming from the 8 series, we were left wanting. our final purchase was the same size/line, but in the 8 series.
