Good tv

So i went with this instead of Q70. Last night, i could really tell the difference! I'm liking the TV so far. I would recommend the techs to not recommend the Samsung soundbars. They are defective. i will be returning today for the 3rd time and going with JL Audio

My new Samsung Q80B and Total Tech service was a great investment. My family has and will enjoy this TV for years. And the same TV and installation was $800 less than the Big Screen Store.

Depending on the brightness level, the TV may seem slightly noisier than usual. Great product and installation.

An excellent job of installation including the wall hanger. Made sure everything was working well before leaving and removed all trash from the installation. The TV is excellent and has met all expectations.

Missing service.

The associate who sold us the Theater did not ask if we wanted concealed/hidden wires, we did not know we needed to ask for them. With our original Theater from Best Buy it was done automatically at the time of installation. We will need to replace the sound bar, as well.

TV Reliability and service Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My rating is a little low for the following reasons. I am on my third replacement for this model. I am now having issues for the second time with Bluetooth and two times before with screen imperfections. Admittedly I am not willing to fall for the sales manipulation that all digital TVs have visusal and technical issues and you just have to accept that. It is true that the vast majority do have issues of one kind or another. What is referred to as the screen lottery means there are ranges in screen quality and you may get a perfect one and you may not, generally you do not. One TV came with damage to the enclosure. Even though there was an obvious issue with the screen in the corner where the damage was they tried to convince me it was an acceptable quality issue. You would have to be a fool to pay that much for a TV and accept anything but perfect condition upon delivery, especially with the display. And no, buying a more expensive model is not going to solve the quality control issues I upgraded and the same kind of issues followed the new purchase. Spent almost twice as much to avoid issues. That strategy did not work. My solution ended up being, returning the TV until I got one that was nearly perfect. Even with that now the remote and Bluetooth are acting up again after only about 6 months. A bestBuy Tech told me I would not be allowed to exchange any more TVs even though they obviously had issues upon delivery. Thankfully he was stating something he had no authority to say. But what if I accepted that misinformation? By the way training for Best Buy Techs is inconsistent and sporadic. I have received so much erroneous information and poor troubleshooting skills that if I accepted as correct I would have just put the TV in the trash and walked away. So keep trying till you get one that is reasonably competent. As for the TV model, it has an amazing picture in my opinion. On par with an oled but in some ways better as you do not lose the detail in dark areas. It does show some banding but the colors are rich and bright. The screen is very reflective so background light does interfere with your viewing experience. The sound is excellent high fidelity but is not as powerful as a sound bar or dedicated audio system. It is more than enough for most people just wanting to enjoy their TV experience. Samsung has deleted some advanced features from the operating system since I purchased this model. And there are some aspects that are not as refined as they could be. But it is functional and fairly easy to use. One thing I particularly detest is the trend towards monetizing my TV OS with advertisements. If I could find a way after the warranty runs out to replace the OS I would for that reason alone. Apparently, Samsung has problems with the Bluetooth module in their TVs and remote per the Internet. It doesn't handle high-traffic areas for 2.4 and apparently, the module fails frequently. I have been trying to get a new remote while under warranty for several months. I had to inform technical support that you can use an IR remote with the TV you just don't get voice control. Apparently they didn't know that. Otherwise, the TV would be useless. IR has some problems occasionally as well but worked better than the supplied remote. We will see if the remote shows up after the third time ordered and the second time a repair has been scheduled. The first time shows up on the schedule books it's just that no one showed up or called to reschedule it just was not responded to. So some of the issues I mentioned are with Best Buy and some with Samsung. Despite all this, I like the TV!

Too early

Hard to give a review in my opinion before at least 6 months. So because I only had it I will give it 3 stars although everything so far is good.
