After deciding to buy the 65 inch QN85A I noticed the 75 inch Q80T that I was leaning on was marked down to $1900 and the rest is history. Great TV, 4K upscaling that actually works. The wires hide nicely in the stand. The clearance price makes the Q80T a no brainer. Hopefully it lasts…

Unbelievable PS5- and XBSX-ready QLED Panel

    Posted .

I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. And honestly... this is quite possibly one of the very best LED (Quantum LED) panels out there at 75". The set is feature rich, with gorgeous color accuracy and incredibly vivid HDR representation. And best of all - it's 120hz ready for 4k next-gen gaming. When your PS4 Pro can't keep up with your TV... you know your TV is ready for the next generation! I was pleased to see that setup was really easy. The set came packaged up securely, and was very easy to remove from the box in order to get the stand set up. The TV sits very sturdy on the base stand (but PLEASE - still anchor it to a wall if you have any risk of children or animals knocking it over). The craftsmanship feels extremely solid and well-built, and nothing feels cheap. All in all, you're going to love the picture this set delivers. But you may also realize that all of the SmartThings integration this TV can handle is what makes it such a great addition to a home with other Samsung products. Between my phone, my security camera, my Philips Hue lighting and my Google Assistant, this TV responds to various smart automations, displays security footage when someone approaches the door, dims lights and activates backlighting when turning on/off, and generally makes me feel like Tony Stark as I sit down to watch something in my living room. As with all TVs, there are a few downsides. In particular, I noticed that the anti-glare finish of the TV for some reason will pull in INCREDIBLY LARGE streaks of light across the panel from lights that are at nearly a 90 degree angle from the television compared to my viewing position. This means that direct light BEHIND a viewer are actually less of a nuisance than an open window or kitchen light FAR TO THE SIDE of the viewer and TV. This is perhaps the most bizarre effect I've ever seen on a panel, and the one true negative. But for most content, once a show is on, you'll barely notice it. The other downside is that Samsung's useful space-saving One Connect box is not part of this TV, meaning you'll have to run all of your own wires to the set itself instead of a single cable linked to a receiver box tucked away somewhere out of sight. But that's literally it for complaints. This TV is five stars, and worth buying at the MSRP for sure.

    Horrible Vertical Banding!

This TV suffers from very bad vertical banding and dirty screen effect (DSE). I had to return the TV because it was very annoying to see all those vertical lines on the screen specially when watching sports and playing video games, you can even see the lines on movies and tv shows. This is unacceptable for a $3000 TV. This is my first and last Samsung TV, they really need to put more effort on their quality control.

    Simply Viewing Pleasure

Many times when you see 4k, people believe it is a one size fits all product and that they are all the same. Let me tell you that this couldn't be further from the truth. The Samsung Q80T QLED TV isn't for the individual looking for a one size fits all, and once you power it on you'll understand why. The Q80T sports an amazing picture accentuated by the under spoken of Full Array Local Dimming, which gives you an amazing visual experience pretty much anywhere in the room. And while this feature doesn’t allow the Q80T to have the slimmest of features, it truly is never a concern. With numerous connective visual ports, 7 to be exact, and multiple other connections for sound and Ethernet you won’t feel cheated by the lack of options. The operating system runs on Samsung’s proprietary Tizen operating system. The option bar that greats you when the TV is powered on is not essential, but it is truly welcomed. It saves so much time having your most used options at your grasp from the beginning instead of having to search. One of the best features, Samsung TV Plus, makes a return this year and offers a true value in free content that would usually be found on cable. As well, the Ambient Mode makes a return and allows for you to upload photos or set your TV as a personal news source and stream up-to date news hourly. The HDR performance is amazing and really shines, in my opinion, on this model. While it may not sport as many zones as some high end TV’s, blooming is hardly noticeable. This TV is MADE for gamers such as myself. The motion handling is amazing and very little lag, if any, was experienced while playing my FPS. The picture parameters are highly customizable, but truly you shouldn’t have to because the presets cover every imaginable setting you might have. The sound was better than any TV I’ve had out of the box. While I have a Samsung HW-650 Soundbar attached to the TV, I turned it off to get a true representation of the speakers of the TV and they did not disappoint. The Object Tracking Sound feature allows the speakers to emulate the movement on the screen with the sound it should portray, quite awesome. In conclusion, in my opinion these line of TV's are the best value and performance for high end consumers. While it does lack Dolby Vision, the numerous other features makes this TV shine quite brighter than the other TV’s in its price range. Highly Recommended! This TV has everything you could possibly want in a TV. It was very easy to download apps and even came with some pre-installed. It was quick and simple to setup the TV and went step by step with you to set it up. I love the Amazon Alexa feature as well. I can listen to music or watch my Amazon shows with a click of a button. The picture is very clear and absolutely beautiful color. The TV has excellent sound. It's like being in a movie theater! I'm absolutely in love with this TV! Ultimate Entertainment

First off let me state I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion, and with that out of the way...WOW!!! When my husband mentioned about bringing a new TV in the house, I did the gratuitous eye roll. I mean, what could or does this TV do any better than the previous TV's we had? Well that was answered quite quickly when he fired up the Xbox One X with a 4K Blue Ray. All I can say is WOW!!! This TV is amazing! The setup up was amazingly easy, but I would advise having two people to unpack the TV because it is quite a tedious task. The colors were vibrant and the sound was amazing by itself, but when the m650 soundbar was included it put it over the top! The Ultra Viewing Angles were a very understated improvement as well. Previously I would have problems sitting on my love seat watching TV ant angle, but this new feature allows for me sit at different angles in my room and not miss a pixel! No degradation in color and minimal glare. The features that were included on the Q80T are what really excited me about the TV. Samsung has implemented Samsung Health into the TV to pair with all samsung devices (I have a Note 10+) and it is the feature I never knew I needed. To be able to do all my exercises on the TV rather than stream from my phone is invaluable. And it allows for me to see all my vitals as well. Another great feature is the Samsung TV Plus which gives us free cable-like stations, a great feature as well. I honestly couldn't be happier with this TV, and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a full entertainment experience!

    It's not equivilant to a Q70r

When I chose this TV, I was under the impression it was a direct replacement for the 2019 Q70r. Early reviews on the Internet said it didn't have ultra wide viewing angle and anti-glare and had fewer lighting zones. The model that was reviewed early on was the European model which is different from the US version. The picture quality is amazing, virtually no blooming and has very good upscaling for standard HD. eArc works well through my Denon receiver. The anti-glare is really good, I compared side-by-side with a Q70t using a flash light pointed at the TVs at various angles. The Q80t was much better. Even though I don't use them, the built in speakers are pretty decent. For the gamers, there is no noticable input lag when in game mode, even going through my receiver. I love this TV! I should have gotten a bigger one long ago. The only trouble I had initially was getting the CBS All Acces and Disney+ apps installed. I think it had something to do the account used to log in to Samsung (gmail account). I setup an actual Samsung account and it started working fine.

    Great TV with a flaw

This TV has an amazing picture. Colors are bold, contrast is great, and the brightness is impressive. I had compared this to several other models from other brands in the price range. This TV came out ahead on paper and looked better on the showroom floor. Very pleased with the picture quality while watching movies or playing video games. What did surprised me about the TV was the software. It's not total junk and saves me some money since I won't need to buy a standalone streaming device. Not so happy with one major flaw which is the glare. Not from windows during the day but from indoor lights. The screen is semi gloss/matte and smears light across the entire screen. It's absolutely terrible and I end up shutting all the lights off and watch TV in the dark. Luckily it looks great in the dark. I had an older TV in the same spot with a gloss finish and had no issues with glare.

Love this TV so much. The colors, black level and processing tech on this display are beautiful. At 75" sitting 8 ft away it is like being in a movie theatre because the people are larger than you, but still very clear and crisp. The app "store" is great and the settings are easy to use. Also like the slimmer remote that can control everything we have hooked up. At the sale price made both me and the wife happy. The only bad side was the wifi on our first set went south and we are waiting for a new replacement - but the wired set up works so we're still able to stream.

The quality of the picture is superb. Great sound even with out added sound bar. Easy to use, easy to set up. I have an LG Oled and the quality of this Qled picture is right up there in my opinion. I do not do gaming so cannot attest to that, but the picture tracks well with action shots and sports. The samsung apps are more numerous than my other LG tv. I choose not to go with the Q90 series just due to the price difference and not needing the few added features.
