Thanks for choosing our QN800B Neo QLED 8K TV! While most 8K content is captured using cinema-grade 8K HDR cameras, most of this content is finished in 4K resolution, which is currently the highest resolution available in newer Blu-rays or DVDs.
The amount of 8K content available continues to expand – content platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo feature a great deal of 8K content, mostly focused on nature and travel. This is quite similar to the way that 4K content was introduced to the market.
Although your movies and shows may be in 4K resolution, please rest assured as your QN800B features Samsung’s Neo Quantum Processor 8K with AI-powered multi-layered neural networks to brilliantly upscale and enhance lower resolution images to 8K, regardless of the source. Every frame has 33 million pixels that provide an incredible sense of depth and clarity.
To provide you with the best viewing experience, we recommend connecting external devices (like a Blu-ray Player) with HDMI cables, as this type of connection offers the best picture. Although all content resolutions will upscale, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it.

Just in time for Thanksgiving (we are hosting my family). Could not be more disappointed with Samsung. 1 year - REALLY ??? Shame on Samsung

It will not upconvert to 8K. I have called Samsung over 15 times and they still cant repair it. The repair company has canceled twice on me. This is getting ridiculous!!!!

Add in the real depth enhancer feature and images fell like they surround you. The 8k processor was made to keep up with this level of picture excellence - everything we watch flows smoothly and seamlessly. I love how slim the TV is as it just hugs the wall and matches the minimalist decor of our home. The Dolby Atmos Object Tracking sound really finishes off the TV watching experience - sound comes at you from every direction with crystal clear quality.

Amazing except the eARC issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love this tv the picture is so amazing! movies are excellent only issue i have is the eARC. i have my apple 4k tv and my PS5 plug in along with my Bose 900 Soundbar but after 2 weeks of having the TV the sound wont come out but will play the noise from me moving from one app to another but when i go to play a shoe/movie nuthing comes out i have to reset the tv and if that doesnt work i have to unplug every HDMI cable and start all over again it has happens several times but when it works its the best tv i have ever owned

We appreciate you sharing your experience with eARC connectivity, and we ask that you make sure your QN800B TV's firmware is up to date with the latest version. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
Please also check if HDMI-eARC is enabled in Expert Settings under Sound menu.
If the audio drop out issue happens when connected via HDMI, the HDMI cable is most likely the cause. We recommend that you replace the HDMI cable with a High-Speed cable with Ethernet Channel, labeled as HEC or HEAC on the cable.
