Damage screen with a black line after a few months

2 bad TVs

So, took back to best and it took another week to get another one sent to me. Received the second TV. This time the TV lasted another week and then I noticed a line on the right side from top to bottom and then a line going across the bottom. We contacted Samsung this time and they sent out a technician. The technician ended up replacing the screen and components, basically replacing the TV again.. this was done a week ago, so we will see

Screen issues

Once a week YouTube tv refuses to connect to the internet, yet works fine on mobile. YouTube tv won’t recognize the internet connection.

1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections
2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines.
3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?
4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?
5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)
6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

To help resolve the issue with the YouTube TV app, I recommend running a cold reboot on your TV. There are two ways to do this:
1) Using the Remote: For most people, the easiest way is to hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
2) Using the Plug: If you do not have the remote, unplug your TV from the wall outlet or surge protector, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
Next, I recommend ensuring the YouTube app is up to date by going to “Apps” on your Smart TV and selecting “Settings” from the top right corner. Next, select the YouTube app and select "Update," if available. If the issue persists or if there is no Update available, we will try deleting and reinstalling the YouTube app. To do so, navigate to “Apps” on your Smart TV and select “Settings” from the top right corner. Next, select the app. Finally, select Delete, and select Delete again to confirm.
Then we will reinstall the app by returning to “Apps” on your Smart TV and selecting “Settings” from the top right corner. Click on “YouTube” and then select “Reinstall.”
Also, please ensure you are running the latest Firmware update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU690T TV. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.
Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it), or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement. 1. Run a Picture Test on the TV.
Navigate to Settings> Support> Device Care >Self Diagnosis. Then select Picture Test >OK> view the test. You can select Yes if the picture looks normal, No if there is a problem with the picture, or Show again to see the picture a second time.
2. Determine if lines are appearing during the Picture Test.
Look for a line or lines on the screen during the Picture Test. If there are no lines, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the issue, first, try replacing the cable of the external device that is showing lines.
- If the lines still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device.
- If lines appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step.
3. Request service if lines appear during the Picture Test.
If you see lines during the Picture Test, please visit our Support Center to request service. Make sure you have the TV's model code, software version, and serial number when calling.
