Despite my horrific experience, I still believe Samsung is a great company and QD-OLED is a technology worth owning. That said, my 77" S90D died just 60 days from purchase. That is just 30 days past Best Buy's return window. And yet, despite Best Buy's rules and policies, I feel like they should have made an exception for this problematic model. FACT: Best Buy is very aware of the issues surrounding this Tv, because it's a well known, well documented issue. So should you buy this tv? If you recognize the value of the Quantum Dot technology, then yes, I'd say go for it, but just remember this: If you buy the 77" model, there is a solid 80% chance the power board inside your tv will die and you will have to get it repaired. Odds are the power board will fail more than 30 days into ownership, but less than a year. This means the tv repair should be covered under Samsung's warranty. The repair will involve contacting Samsung, answering all of their questions with: "Yes sir, I tried that. Yes sir, I also tried that." Once your Samsung representative is convinced you've done everything he has asked, he will then schedule a repair appointment. The appointment will be 7-28 business days in to the future, so be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. On the date of your appointment, a local technician from a 3rd party service center will arrive to repair your tv. Watch them like a hawk. If you're not on top of situation, it's entirely possible your furniture could be damaged by accident, by the technicians. Insist on any nearby furniture be covered with heavy protective blankets. Finally, have several brand new microfiber clothes available to clean the screen. Any technician or team of technicians who come to repair your tv will leave it filthy and smudged with grease, oil and dirt. It will be on you to clean it and believe me, you will want to badly. Perfect product for my home, it is a grace to watch whatever you want. The tv has built it adjustable light balancing and controls itself. Color pictures amazing

I love this TV. It has a great picture - very crisp and clear and it has a great side view too. I can be in the next room on the side and still see the picture clearly. I can't speak much for the sound because we use a sound bar.

Best deal I have ever gotten. I was able to get this TV in excellent open box condition at an absolute insane steal of a deal. This was Samsungs 2nd best TV of 2024. Many reviewers placed this TV as their #1 choice for 2024 & 2025 because of its pricing and quality. Perfect blacks, excellent HDR, and perfect for gaming. Beautiful design. Extremely happy with this purchase. Doubt I’ll ever find an upper end TV at the price I got this for. Always check outlet TVs before going for floor models.

I am only a couple of weeks into owning it, but this is a really nice TV. Great color, deep pitch blacks. Crazy bright screen. And it actually has more features than I was even aware of, including the ability to play cloud gaming via Xbox, Luna, etc, directly on the TV without the need for a game console. Plus it's got Samsung Smart things built in. It's not cheap, but it's a REALLY great tv so far!

This T.V. Was a big decision I made, it was a very expensive one also. I was only looking to spend around $500.,for one, but I am glad I spent the extra money. This T.V. Was a great investment the picture is awesome, baseball and basketball games I’m so close to the action. It’s fantastic

This TV has the best picture of any on the market. Every color is spot on and the deepest blacks makes every scene look amazing. The best advantage is that it looks the same from any angle in the room.

Purchased this TV as a replacement to the 65” that I previously owned. The picture on this model surpassed my expectations. The contrast is stunning. Samsung OLED televisions in my opinion deliver the best resolutions. Connect this with a Samsung soundbar and sit back and be mesmerized. Would recommend this model over the LGs and Even the Sony Bravia.

Product is a good value for the sales price. One concern is the volume of sound has a bit of a delay.

Man this tv is truly amazing! Colors, picture quality and brightness plus when you pair with the Samsung surround sound with the subwoofer it makes watching movies incredibly, my only problem is that cheap looking remote and the fact it isn’t backlit will be my only complaint

We’ve owned nothing but Sony Bravia televisions for over 20 years. When I saw this Samsung OLED on sale I couldn’t pass up the price/performance value on this tv. We’ve been nothing short of amazed by it. Whether it’s gaming, sports, or movies, the picture quality is incredible. Split screen Call-of-Duty multi-player is actually usable at this size and there’s zero lag or ghosting. No issues with brightness on this OLED. I’ve never been impressed by Samsung televisions before, but we couldn’t be happier with this one.

The TV was easy to set up and was packed well. The connections could not of been easier! The TV that this is replacing is 5 years old and was rated as one of the best at that time. It still looks good but the S90D blows it away!! The picture quality practically jumps off the screen. The colors are rich and vibrant! The blacks are perfect and the viewing angles are almost nonexistent. Great price and value. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! I run the sound through my Atmos receiver so the TVs speakers are little too no concern to me!

I bought this TV on November 9th, 2024. It stopped working on November 10th, 2025... one day after the factory warranty expired. Evidently, this model has a known power supply issue that can cause the TV panel to stop working. Samsung is aware of this issue, but hasn't issued a recall. Samsung customer service would not help whatsoever. The customer service agent stayed on her script for over an hour and continued to tell me her manager was busy and wasn't available to speak to me. It's been a terrible experience. I've bought Samsung TV's for over 2 decades and have never had this level of difficulty with their product or customer service. They have lost a 25 year loyal customer. I would recommend buying a different tv and a different brand.. or you may end up having a 77" paper weight like me.

LOVE this TV. The colors pop! I feel like I am immersed in whatever is on the screen.

We upgraded our 9 year old 65” Sony to this Samsung. We were blown away by the pitue! The colts were so vivid and bright. Dark scenes were very viewable compared to the old Tv which seemed to dissapear. With discounts we saved $1000. The Geek squad delivery and set up was great and they were very helpful and informative.

I can only give 5 stars to this TV. The best TV that I have ever owned. Super bright, sharp and clear image, fast menu, I honestly couldn't find any cons to this TV. It took me months of comparing with other TV models, checking how they did in different tests, super happy with the purchase, if you pair it with a Samsung sound bar, the Q symphony does a great job of sending the best sound to your ears.

Best (OLED) TV of 2024 Vs. 95D - the Matte Finish Kills the S95D. Was going to buy the S95D, but the matte finish kills the OLED Blacks with any light source. The light is diffused, a larger area becomes grey, no deep blacks. - S90D has better Picture Quality, Glossy Finish is the way to go. - One Connect Box of S95D - Stay Away. My previous TV used to restart because of how hot the one connect box gets. S95D is too small to effectively sink the heat. It also slows down gaming (PS5, etc.) Vs. G4 - WOLED old Tech, Boring Colors. - S90D's QD-OLED is much better for Color Volume, Color Gamut. Very vibrant Colors. G4's WOLED is old tech. S90D's QD-OLED is the future. Do not by G4's WOLED. - Picture Upscaling might be slightly better with G4 if you watch anything 720p or so - but in 2024, if you are still wathing 720p, do not buy any of those TVs. For 1080p or 4K, No Difference, whatsoever, except the very boring colors of G4. Vs. A95L - Too slow. Too expensive. - If you do any gaming, you already know this TV sucks for it. S90D is the fastest. - Picture Upscaling might be slightly better with A95L if you watch anything 720p or so - but in 2024, if you are still wathing 720p, do not buy any of those TVs. For 1080p or 4K, No Difference, whatsoever, except the very high price tag of A95L along with its gaming vs. limitations. Bought 77' S90D: very happy so far. Best TV of 2024 (RTings.com is right). Period.

After a lot of research I decided on the Samsung S90D 77". It was delivered and setup and I couldn't be happier with it. The picture is the best I've ever seen. The blacks are really black and the colors pop. The 2024 Tizen OS is very easy to use, although it is a bit crowded. It has a setting to reopen the last APP used when you turned it off, this saves time. Adding a new APP is easy and you can place APPs in any order you need. The only TVs I've used in the last 25 years have ALL been Samsung and this one did not let me down. The best TV ever.
