The power supply of this model of TV breaks often.

Doing some research, it seems this model has a problem with the power supply breaking constantly. DO NOT BUY THIS TV! Also, warning before buying from Best Buy, if they sell you an item that dies after 14 days of purchase, they won't take it back. Oh, unless you gave them more money before the purchase. Terrible business practice. They would rather have unhappy customers that will never come back then satisfied customers who will repeat their business. I've bought a few TVs from Best Buy over the last decade, but no more. Not a good experience with Best Buy.

Television died after 4 months and minimal use

The tv short circuted, tripped our breaker box, we had to hire an electrician to fix it. The television wont turn on now, everything else connected to the same breaker is fine. After doing some research these tv’s are known for this issue, were under warranty so someone is coming to fix it but now we will have a refurbished product, its unacceptable to charge this much for a tv and have it die in less than 6 months and practically no screen time.

Amazing... Until It Wouldn't Turn On

Unfortunately after owning it for 7 months, it suddenly stopped turning on and now waiting in limbo for a Samsung's repair service to repair it. I have also read on multiple sites that this is a common issue for this particular model and size. I would avoid this tv if you want a high quality tv that will actually last.

This TV will stop working

After weeks or months of use, it will shut off and not turn back on without having it serviced. Samsung support is abysmal. Between this and my fridge, calling Samsung Care has become part of my daily routine. Always good for a laugh.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your S90D TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings > Intelligent Mode.

Bad power board

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We baught this tv and it was amazing, but after a week it died because of the power outage, I got a replacement within a week and after 5 months it died again, this time for no reason, a lot of people online and on reviews state that it is because of the power board and when it first broke the best buy employees told me it was the same issue. It seems the whole issue is just the power board.

There is a defect with this design / model

The Best buy warranty I purchased was a waste since they will only refer you to the manufacturer if any issues come up during the first year of ownership. DO NOT BUY THIS TV.

The earlier flat screen tv's had the sound system in the front circling the picture frame.

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first one I bought had electrical issues that caused it to trip the breaker - within the 2-week window so I returned it to BB and got another - I'm now ~ 3 months in and this one is doing the same thing so it's off to Samsung support which it trying at best. If you get one that works it may be the best TV I've had but if not its a piece of garbage - not up to the usual Samsung quality standards

Best TV Image

Glad I did even though the LG is still amazing. I do like the speed of the Samsung OS more than the LG.
