Don't miss my OLED; watching movies is awesome

It is the best and certainly the biggest TV I have owned. Coupled with a receiver and surround sound speakers, watching movies is awesome. This replaces a severely burned-in 2016 LG OLED 3D. This is brighter and has great contrast with deep blacks and bright whites. The big bonus is that this NeoQLED will not suffer burn-in. I'm still bummed that TV makers no longer support 3D and urge Samsung to get busy on a firmware upgrade. The techs were amazing and patient. They even got my wii working again.

Picture is great and setup was super easy. The smart tv features make it easy to quickly get to all of the streaming services. The solar powered remote is easy to use and let’s you know when it needs to recharge. Only complaint I have is with the Best Buy delivery team that came and refused to help me put the tv inside because it was “too heavy” and they left it in the garage for me to figure out how to pull the 100lb+ tv in by myself.

I have owned this TV for about 2 years now and it still is very enjoyable to watch. The TV image is very good and the Smart TV interface is very solid and convenient. It gives you access to all the streaming needs you may have. The only deficiency on this TV is it's puny sound. But that's very common on most flat screen TV's. You need to have soundbar to improve sound reproduction

Amazing picture, love the remote being able to charge just by being in sunlight. Relatively easy to navigate menus. Software could be a little snappier but overall happy with the purchase.

STILL the best 4K LCD TV on the market.

Even through the end of 2022, the QN90A is the best 4K LCD TV that you can buy right now... and that includes this TV's successor, the QN90B. The absurd brightness, astonishing color accuracy & breadth, and inky OLED-like blacks still get me at how immersive they are. Paired with its 85" inch size, this QN90A provides a genuinely incredible home theater experience. The 1,800+ nits peak brightness will sear your corneas with its magnificence. The FALD will combine said brightness with beautiful blacks and colors to provide the best picture quality you can get. Watching 4K HDR content is like watching life happening in front of you, not watching a movie. Looking to game intensely on your PS5, XSX, or PC? 4K 120hz with HDR and FreeSync Premium Pro says hello. If you're torn on buying this TV or another (like a C2, X90J, or S95B)... take this review as a sign to buy the QN90A instead. The price difference is absurd for the meager improvements those kinds of TVs provide, and the guarantee of no burn-in risk is the nail in the coffin for me of pretty much never buying an OLED again.

Gotta love this new tv. I needed to replace my 5 year old original 4K tv, which lacked connectivity and deep black colors. I've always had state of the art Samsung tvs, but the QN90A goes above and beyond. Vivid, crisp colors with excellent contrast--watching the rainy NFL game made me feel like I was on the field the raindrops were so clear. This was my Christmas present and I couldn't be happier.

Heavily researched then purchased 85” over a year ago given Consumer Reports outstanding QLED tech review (cost/benefit/size). Love the filmmakers mode set automatically via Amazon Prime paired with the equivalent Samsung Surround system makes it a high quality and greatly enjoyable experience for. Awesome picture...remote needs some work

The picture on this TV is awesome. You can view in factory default settings, or one of many specialized settings like dynamic or cinema. You can even do your own settings for each picture detail like brightness, contrast, etc. That is if you don't break the remote our of frustration. The remote is INCREDIBLY small. There are no numbers on the remote. Only a total of 12 buttons and one wheel pad. Everything that has to be typed into the apps, such as ID and passwords have to be done by moving the cursor on screen with the wheel pad. Worst feature is no previous channel button. Those relatively minor things aside, the TV is awesome. The picture is incredible. It comes preloaded with many, frequently-used apps. It is very easy to download apps, like DirecTV Stream. We have an open air family room that leads into the kitchen. Surprisingly, this behemoth does not eat up the room. If the room had 4 walls, that might be a different story. For the money, you can't go wrong with this TV.

So far I couldn't be happier with the performance of this UHD TV! It does have an issue with reflections on certain screen images but I've been able to control that with little difficulty with proper lighting control. I wouldn't even call it a major issue. And the picture quality is so fantastic and the screen brightness is too. Extremely pleased! The only remaining question is durability ... so we'll see ...

We have a large very bright living room and the Samsung 85” neoQLED is perfect for the space. The colors are vivid and there is minimal, if any, glare on the screen. Love this TV so much we bought a 65” for the office and a 55” for our bedroom.

I bought this to replace a Samsung 65 and wow this thing is big and beautiful. I mounted this TV on a swing mount by sanus so make sure you hit the studs when you hang this thing no matter what kind of Mount you use. I was using an Xbox One X to stream with but not anymore don't need to leave the TV because it has all the apps I need without using my Xbox for anything but to play games. Very little blooming noticeable and I like my pictures to pop. The only thing that doesn't work the way I wish it did is my remote that came with the TV does not control my cable box but I use Harmony which takes care of that. The only reason I didn't go with the OLED is because this TV I can forget about and not worry about burn in at all and if you have a bright room you don't have to worry because the colors are so vivid and the TV is so bright you'll still have to turn it down. I would not hesitate to buy this set all over again. Thank you Samsung..

      Hi Patrick,

Thank you for purchasing the new 2021 QN90A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV and for your review. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the picture brought to you by our Neo Quantum Processor 4K which analyzes the signal, source, and content scene-by-scene to optimize your 4K clarity. You get our finest picture ever with Color Volume 100% Quantum Dot giving you a billion shades of color.

To control connected devices with your TV's remote, please follow these set-up steps:
      1) Connect an external device to the HDMI port of the TV, and then power on the external device. Your TV will automatically recognize the device when connected through HDMI and will switch the output. If it doesn't automatically detect it, then keep following the steps to set up Universal Remote.

      2) Press the Home button on your TV remote to access the Home Screen. Using the directional pad on the remote, navigate to Source. When the selector is placed over Source, the Source menu will appear. Press UP on the directional pad to access Universal Remote.

      3) Select Universal Remote on the Source screen. Next, select Start and make sure the device you want to connect is turned on. When your desired device displays, select it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup and register the device. The instructions may vary, depending on the device type selected.

      4) Your TV and the remote will memorize the external device and its connection port (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.) to make controlling everything even easier. Occasionally, the device may not respond after it's registered. To make sure the connection is made, you need to re-register the device.

I hope this helps! Should you ever have questions or need help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

This is way bigger in my living room than I anticipated, BEATUTIFUL crystal clear picture. Works great in 4k with my Xbox1X or PC when plugged into the gaming port. After a year and a half, it's still 10/10. Working my Xbox or PlayStation with the TV remote is pretty cool using reverse HDMI control.

Amazing value when purchased on special. Not perfect at all, I have what appears to look like 3 fingers had swiped the inside of the screen towards the top right out of the box, although very little "standard" dirty screen effect otherwise but since it's unfortunately distracting I may go through Samsung support for a new panel. Also there are apparently some local dimming bugs but it seems firmware updates have resolved them, at least for me. Also, even with a matching Samsung soundbar, many of the audio channels go out randomly and I have to do a "semi-hard" reset by holding the power for 5 seconds occasionally. Although I must say using the Q-symphony feature to combine the TV speakers and soundbar together creates a very immersive sound, I def wouldn't use just the TV speakers like any flat screen, that is for office/bedroom use only and in the 85" size I got obviously it's a home theater screen. Other than those cons, it is amazing what 1320 dimming zones over 85" can do. VERY little glow/ blooming/ flashlighting and plenty of controls to dial in the picture I want. Color volume and accuracy is excellent right out of the box, if you can just *force* yourself to get used to Movie mode with Warm 2 color (Warm 1 at the coldest) you can then crank up other settings for plenty of brightness and still get very accurate color. For only 2300 in 85", it is probably the best bang for the buck TV deal *ever*!

I replaced an old Vizio 75" with this 85" Q90a. It's located in a family room, with six large windows, and that's where this TV shines. While the screen is fairly glossy, compared to my old one, the material diffuses light extremely well, and the brightness of the screen makes all the difference. Blacks and colors are much better than the "greys" I had before. Colors are vivid, but I don't endorse athe "up scaling" of regular 1080p to 4k. I think these claims, (from all manufacturers) are more of a gimmick than reality. Love the remote has a solar panel to keep it charged- it takes quite a while to get used to placing it up side down, when not in use. Lol.

This is a great TV for the current discounted price. A few things to be aware of: 1. It reflects light and will create a weird rainbow affect from the ceiling lights. 2. The local dimming may change the display brightness at times when going from a very dark image to a very bright (white) image. You will then see the screen try to adjust the brightness during on the white image. I knew of this issue and I'm OK with it. You can also mess with settings to make it less noticeable.
