I had a dell laptop with i7 and 4 gigs of RAM but still it took a long time to boot and would seem slow for normal operations. i replaced by SATA hard-disk with this Samsung EVO SSD and it was like i purchased a new laptop. My laptop now boots in less than 30 seconds and is incredibly fast. Very much recommended!

This drive is a fantastic product. Unfortunately when you open the package and read the instructions they refer to items that are not included in the package. Aparently these items used to be included with the Model 840 but have been left out with the 850. If you are upgrading from a traditional hard drive to an SSD you are likely to need a mounting bracket adapter and a USB to SATA adapter to migrate your data to the new drive. Seeing how the total migration takes a great deal of time it is likely that buyers have set aside time to do it and have an expectation of when the project would be dome. Without these parts and without a warning that you will probably need them you might be in for a bit of disappointment.

This drive is ridiculously speedy. Excellent for a boot drive. Gave my aging laptop an extra 3 years of life.

Decided to purchase this on sale, got a good deal $89. The boot up sequence of my PC is around 10-15 sec and very quick at loading up files. If you're coming from a traditional HDD and switch to SSD you're going to see the difference like night and day.

I prefer Samsung SSDs because they perform well and come with an excellent warranty. Have yet to have an issue with one.

Computer seems to run faster. Apps open faster. Overall performance seems better. No complaints as of today

Was very easy to install and the supplied Samsung cloning software was terrific. Transferred all my files, software (including OS) in a very short time, without any problems. I am a little disappointed with the boot up time. I thought it would be faster, switching from an HHD to a SSD.

Bought to replace my wife's old HDD in her laptop and the performance difference is on par with other SSDs I have used.

After trying it for different PCs, I found out it works best with an HP Intel I7-4790 3.6Ghz PC with SATA III hard drive controller. I like the Magician which allows me to simply choose a setting called Reliability. I cannot comment on durability or anything else because I have not had it long enough and I have no way to compare it with other manufacturers/ product long enough.

We install dozens of these every week, and have had zero issues with them. The speed is addictive, and quality superb.

First time with a SSHD and very impressed...so far! No issues on install and fits perfectly into my Sony Vaio.

Put this on my 5 year old build. It works so much better and faster. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I primarily wanted this external hard drive to back up photos and video on my computer, so I wanted something that I could use and move easily. You just plug in and you can back up anytime, or you can set to always do at the same time. I like being able to move mine away from the computer just in case my computer was stolen the backup would not be with the computer.

Bought this ssd to boot the OS and Apps, you notice the difference in performance. Love it. So far so good

Excellent SSD, it has a good performance in my 2011 laptop, it fits properly in HDD tray with normal bolts.

I just love it it's starts my dell inspirion 15 3000 series laptop in less them 15 seconds and my battery life completely double from like 4 hours to around 8 hours I think every computer should have a Ssd that have the speed to perform as intended and save battery life in portable units

Laptop came with a TB hard drive, I didn't need that much space, and this SSD really speeds things up.
