Excellent product is a perfect upgrade for any machine instead of getting a ram upgrade start of with the solid state drive you wont regret it takes off more than half of the booting time and processing speeds are amazing its totally worth it.

I have used Samsung SSDs for years now. In all my personal systems and client systems, both new and upgrades. They are amazing. Even on a 6 year old core 2 duo based machine, this drive makes it better than new and in many cases, the machine doesn't need to be replaced yet. If it does the drive can be removed and used as an upgrade on the next machine as well, since alot of less expensive new machines are still sold with a platter based drive. If speed is what you need, and size isn't a concern, buy a Samsung SSD today, you will not regret it.

Samsung SSDs are rock solid and seem to run perfect. I have had this for more the two years and it is very good. It is quiet (of course) and runs fast! Ditch the spinning drive for this SSD today

I currently have my OS installed on this drive as well as a some music/sound programs. No adaptor needed while installing in most new (Good) cases as they have 2.5 bays for easy installation. Boot up is FAST and I'm very happy.

Samsung makes great SSD's. I use these for the OS on my computer builds and they always turn out great. A little more expensive than the competition but you get what you pay for. Fast speeds and reliable storage.

Replaced an old HD because it was slow. This cut my bootup to half and my MSOffice programs load really fast. The laptop was a cheap Blackfriday deal from 4 yrs ago. Found instructions online. Very easy process

added this SSD to my system, fast boot time and everything is over all faster. want to add a little ump to you system SSd are the way to go

I bought this to upgrade my macbook pro 2011 and this thing has given my notebook a second lease of life. Boot time has reduced from approx 1 minute to 15 seconds and apps launch crazy fast now. It has also helped with the battery life. It was easy for me to do the upgrade since I am from IT background but new people would need some help from online tutorials. I wanted 850 PRO but that was not available. Still this is a excellent performer. One more thing is if budget is not a constraint go for a higher capacity than 250 gb since that improves performance and you wont be taking backups so frequently.

One of the advantages of replacing or supplementing a mechanical hard drive with a solid state drive is the very noticeable increase in speed during booting up and when loading applications. In my example, a Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB solid state drive was added to a 4 year old PC to load the operating system and applications, and the existing hard disk drive was configured as data storage. The migration of the operating system and applications to the SSD from the HDD was straightforward with the included Samsung Magician software. The boot up time with the SSD is about 4 times faster than the HDD. Applications such as Microsoft Word load in a matter of a few seconds. I am very pleased with the performance of the Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB solid state drive.
