The SSD Drive I purchased was true to reviews I read on various websites. It definitely sped up booting, computer operations and shutting down markedly. I should mention that I also upgraded the RAM on my older laptop Lenovo idea pad. I don't think that it matters much which brand of SSD you buy. Samsung is reviewed with high marks but comes at a premium. I installed a Sandisk ultra II on my desktop without upgrading the RAM and was astounded with the performance improvement (not comparing apples to apples though). Overall I am happy with the Samsung; just think I paid a little too much when comparing other brands.

I added this on as a second SSD drive in my gaming setup. I already had the 120gb Samsung SSD as my OS drive. This 240gb is for loading games. The load times are MUCH faster than the old platter drive I was using. love it

Easy to install in laptop. Requires inexpensive adapter for desktop. Both install scenarios require your own adapter cable if you want to copy/clone from original HDD. Included xfer software is good, but Macrium Reflect Free works best. This SATA SSD is unparalleled in speed and the Magician configuration software is top notch.

Bought this to replace the Sata Hard drive in a Playstation 3. Had originally bought a Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB but the Playstation wouldn't recognize it so after researching the issue found many that said the Playstation works seamlessly with the Samsung EVO. Bought this and it's definitely made playing WAY better, virtually no lagging and the load times are quite amazing! Looking back though really wish I would've bought the Samsung EVO 500GB instead.

Samsung makes SSD mainstream hard drives that are second to none. And this without upgrading to the Pro version. Buy the EVO 850 series. You'll be glad you did.

Bought this for my desktop. The computer now boots up extremely quickly. No problems with this drive at all.

One of two Raided hard drives failed in my desktop computer. Changing to the Samsung - 850 EVO 250GB Internal Serial ATA Solid State Drive was a good option and really sped up the booting. I would recommend this product. Easy to install, nice size will fit anywhere inside the desktop case and left plenty of room when the disk drive it replaced was removed.. Easy mounting with some double sided tape or you can buy the optional mounting bracket.

Could not be happier with this SSD from Samsung, works as described purchased to run Windows 10. Great loading speed!!! However does not come with the tiny needed screws for mounting.

the Samsung 850 EVO's are the best SSD Hard Drives on the market. They are also very affordable now! Love the software that comes with the SSD's.

Easy to migrate to, just run Chkdsk first to make the process faster. Cuts boot time in half.

My first time buying a Samsung EVO 850. The boot up process is okay but I don't really care about boot up. Performance when running my application is what I am mostly needing this hardware for. Does it run application 'yes' but for I need it for really well. Other might find it slow in performance because their application more demanding hardware power. It comes down to what do you need this hardware to do for you.
