The device performed as expected. The price was reasonable. I wish I had chosen a larger capacity.

I replaced the spinning disc in an old i3 desktop I purchased at a garage sale with this SSD. I did not use any of the included software, just removed the old drive and installed the new, then reinstalled Windows 10. There was a huge improvement in boot time and program access time. Due to the small form factor, there was no way to fasten the drive down, but in a desktop there isn't much chance of the drive flopping around anyway.

This ssd hard drive is so mush faster than the older 7200 rpm drives. Works great and boots up fast!

Comparing with all other computer / laptop hard drive replacement, this Samsung EVO 850 is the best you can get, for a very reasonable price, it's qualify is first class.

I wanted to replace my mechanic HDD in my HP Laptop, When I bought it there were instructions on how to do it. But it did not come with an Adapter to transfer my Old data to the new drive, I had to buy it separately and also reference my owners manual on how to take out the old drive. I just wish it would have come with the Adapter so that I would not have to go to the store twice looking for it.

These Samsung SSD's are fast and easy to install. I have used several to up grade from HDDs.

For the home user, or gamer, this SSD is extremely fast, and offers similar performance to the Pro version. I've run both, and in real-life use, I can't tell a difference in speed. If you're going to be running 24/7 for 10 years, then go for the Pro, but if you replace drives every 5 or 6 years, the performance for the price is outstanding. I get Toshibas for platter drives, but for SSD it will ALWAYS be Samsung EVO.

Very good performance, no problems so far.I had an old intel and this new is far away faster.

If you need a fast boot drive for a new build this is a cost effective drive that gives your new rig the speed it needs... get a second larger drive for storage...

This is my third Samsung SSD. I installed Samsung's software, placed the new SSD in a USB3.0 enclosure, and let it run. It took just over an hour for the process to complete for this 250gb drive. I swapped out the drives, pressed the power button, and I was in business. A+ experience.

Super easy install even in a laptop, which the product was purchased for. The software will need to be downloaded from the manufactures’ website for latest version but the migration software for typical user is second to none. I was able to copy my original drive over without needing to reinstall anything. For ease of install and migrating from an existing drive to this one, you couldn’t go wrong.

I've been purchasing these drives to replace failed traditional hard drives for my clients for a few years. In my opinion they are one of the best hard drives for the price. I've installed over 100 of these drives in the past two years and have not had a single failure, unlike some other drives I had used in the past. I also like the Samsung magician software to help manage the life expectancy of the drive.

Easy to install and setup. Did a clean OS install with no issues. Very fast, plenty of storage.

This device worked great. Runs just like my old operating system but faster.

Replaced my laptop hard drive with this Samsung SSD and what a difference. My boot up time went from like a minute and half to like 25 seconds. After the boot up time though, for what I do, there is no other difference, probably saves energy usage and my battery lasts longer. It came with the software to copy the old hard drive contents, including the OS, over to the new hard drive with no problems.
