Awesome so far

So far so good. Hoping these are as relaible for years and years as the barracida drives etc I have used in the past....SSDD is much faster and no noise.....no moving parts so in theory they should last forever....but I know there is finite number of rewrites they support, so we shall see.

Ludicrous Speed

Cold boot to desktop in 15 seconds and lightening fast program load times have brought me out of the dark ages. Even if your computer is a few years old, install a fresh load of windows on one of these drives and it will feel better than new.

All computers should have these as boot/ application drives. Hard discs still have their place for bulk storage. All my next builds will have a ssd, especially a Samsung 850 EVO. I may even check out an 850 Pro. Just make sure you do the research and get a good adaptor tray if you install this in a tower.

Perfect Upgarde
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this SSD to replace a 5400RPM HD that came with my 6 year old ASUS laptop that was starting to give me some problems. Installation was straight forward and the software that came with the SSD made mirroring my soon to be replaced HD relatively painless. The only issue that I had was that my older laptop does not support USB 3.0, only 2.0, and transfer time was painfully slow.

Great replacement drive for laptop

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Samsung SSD for about 3 years now and have always had excellent results and phenomenal speed even from the EVO versions like this one. I have used Kingston in the past but on identical machines in our SOHO, the Samsung boots up a few ticks quicker. I switched to Samsung since they're the king of SSD just like they are best for 1080P TV. I would never switch back
