I replaced my 2010 21.5" iMac's defunct optical drive with this EVO. I run MacOS Sierra & all programs on the EVO & everything is SO MUCH FASTER than from the original HDD. Startup is only a few seconds, the Adobe suite is flying - everything is running beautifully! I'll probably get a few more years out this iMac now - so happy!

There is no wonder why this SSD drive by Samsung is getting such high reviews. Many PC upgrades like video cards or flash drives are nice but you don't really notice the WOW Speed factor like when installing a SSD drive for the first time. I installed this SSD in a older PC and instantly had much Faster PC. Very Nice upgrade....

system boots much faster than before and runs faster

I bought 2 of these for a raid array and they are fast! They outperform my old 840 evos marginally, but that's what the raid is for. Paired up, in a raid 10 array, they scream!! Almost too fast for my old quad-core qx9770

My hard drive failed on my 5 year old HP desktop. I opted to go with a SSD replacement and my research indicated the Samsung 850 Evo was the best one currently on the market. I have been impressed thus far. The startup is super fast and quiet. While more expensive than a traditional hard drive, the extra cost seems worth it.

Easy installation (plug-and -play), fast and reliable.

Samsung SSD's are top of the line when looking for an SSD. They are unique in that Samsung designs the entire thing from start to finish instead of sourcing parts from many manufactures to design it. This makes for a rock solid stable SSD that you can count on and it is FAST. This can make any computer feel like it's brand new again.

This is the best hdd and pc hardware upgrade you can get for a home computer. Funny thing is the absolute best about it is not the hardware but the software! With the included migration and optimization software little to no knowledge of computers is needed to obtain at least two more years out of your old computer. All for about 100 bucks. Dang i feel like an salesman :) ill stop there but you won't regret buying this guy I promise!

Great option to upgrade Hard Drive. I have purchase a few Samsung Evo 850 to upgrade my MacBook Pro and iMacs and it has worked great. Computer is 10x faster. Just remember that some computer you need to enable TRIM to keep HD working right for a long time. If you don't know what TRIM is just search online.

This Samsung 850 250Gb solid state drive consistently rates among the highest for performance and reliability. It was an urgent purchase to replace a failed SanDisk first-generation 128 Gb SSD. I would have happily paid list price but fortunately BestBuy had it on sale for less than I paid for the SanDisk SSD it replaced.

This Samsung 850 EVO 250GB Internal Serial ATA SSD drive can be used in a desktop application as well with a carrier. Easy installation and so far no problems. I just use this drive to run the O/S and a few applications and store all other data on larger 2TB 7200 disks. This is an excellent SSD drive for the money!

Piece of cake to install and utilized the Samsung Migration software which worked flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Retail wise..these are the fastest, SSD's that I have come across! 1. Samsung has matched Intel's 5 yr factory warranty on these!! 2. Samsung now uses Acronis, thank goddess! For that, it gets a "Best Buy" for the money! No pun..intended..I'm serious!

I've read about this being the best, and so far in my experience, I have to say that I agree. My only issue was mounting in my case, even with the mount I bought separately. But I got it worked out either way. I would definitely recommend this hard drive. My computer is SO much faster and load times are wicked fast!

I bought this to revive an aging desktop computer and as a way to clear the junk that had built up over the years of installing software. I was able to install Windows as expected and reload only the things I really use. The system does run better and I credit this disk to some of that performance boost.

I have an old laptop and its hard drive was starting to show signals of failure. That computer was a high-performance machine in the old days and wanted to have that power back. The installation was extremely easy and now that computer flies! Excellent way to enhance the performance in my laptop.
