I had a 2012 MacBook Pro with i5 processor, and it was starting to get super super slow. It would take a good 5 to 10 minutes to boot up! I bought the solid state hard drive to replace the disk hard drive in the laptop and now everything processes on the computer even faster than it did when it was new!

Bought one last year and loved it. It gave the great performance gain it promised, was getting 550MB read speed and 500MB write speed. Then bought another one a couple weeks ago and raid 0 them. Set up was easy with no hiccups. Now I am getting 1100MB read and 1050MB write. Which for raid 0 that is awesome!

My daughter's laptop was a poor performer with a 5400 rpm drive. It was taking close to three minutes to boot all the way into Windows 10. Replaced the drive with the Samsung EVO 250gb and now taking less than 30 seconds. Access to programs is much better also. A junk laptop turned into a very useful laptop.

I upgraded from an Intel 520 128gb SSD and noticed a significant upgrade in speed when loading games such as World of Warcraft and booting my computer. Data migration was simple using the Samsung Data Migration software. The price to performance ratio on this drive is stellar, I highly recommend it!

Is it the cheapest, no. But if you want an sad that is going to last then samsung is the best choice.

My wife was complaining about the speed of her 2 year old laptop. I cloned her hard drive to this drive using the software included and less than an hour ( I already had a USB / drive cable from a previous SSD installation.) After a quick swap out of the drives she was screaming along.

Needed to replace a bad hard drive, easy to install and no issues formatting Windows 7 OS on it.

This SSD is a great upgrade for anyone. The Samsung Software makes it easy for anyone to clone their old drive.

These Samsung drives are the best of the best. We've installed dozens of all types of SSD's and the price is either the same or lower than some of the competition yet these are in my experience a superior part. Never had a Samsung fail but I can't say that for the others we've used.

I have installed more than 50 SSDs in the last year, and I now only use Samsung. Others have various performance issues. I have not had a single complaint from my clients and the install goes easily with only the rare exception.

I built a computer for work and just used the old 2.5" hdd from the laptop I had been using. This was as I see now a mistake, it was a bottleneck for performance. Now my PC boots Windows 10 in less than 15 seconds. Very satisfied with this purchase, and have used for other builds in the office.

I was amazed at the performance of the SSD in my laptop so I wanted one for my desktop. It was easy to install and easy to get going. It didn't come with screws though.

Love Samsung products. And best buy was very good at getting them to me. I buy Samsung everything. Lol

Bought this to replace a bad laptop hard drive. The HD i need to replace was a segate slim HD so i was unsure if the new one would fit the smaller size. The samsung HD was just slightly bigger but still fit perfectly. Very fast and so quiet that you don't even know it's there.

Since its installed in my Mac, I haven't actually seen the solid state hard drive since I bought it in the package but it now lives in my machine and has no moving parts to wear out. The only aspect of it that I am aware of is that everything on my computer now happens MUCH faster!!

Samsung EVO SSD simply just work and haven't had any that failed yet. If you're in need of a startup/program driven then the Samsung EVO SSD drives are probably the best options to go with. They might be a bit pricey compared to other brands, but wait for sales and stock up.

I would say after buying 5 of these that Samsung probably has the best SSD's available.

Great product in this category. I would recommend to others. Spend extra buck and be peace of mind.
