Samsun has had a solid reputation with these drives, and I though I couldn't pick up the 960 series as my primary, I got this on sale as a secondary drive. Things which effected my decision: price, reliability, and performance. Thus far has been solid and steady, both as a second storage and hosting games.

This is a fast and affordable SSD, one of the best on the market today. Samsung has always delivered when it comes to their SSD drives and I couldnt be happier . This drive is awesome for gaming!

Bought one for each of our desktops and run the OS on it as well as the often used programs, leaving storage to two regular drives in mirror raid.

The only thing that stops this from getting five starts is the availability of the Samsung Pro series. The Pro series give better performance, and better longevity, but cost quite a bit more.

exactly what you expect from it. no issues. IF installing in a PlayStation 4 however, do keep in mind that it does NOT fit perfectly into the existing PS4 tray. You will have to press it into the connection and it rests on its own. This is NOT an issue so long as your not moving the PS4 around.

I bought this after a bit of reasearch towards SSDs in general. In the end I bought this over the faster Samsung SSD because I won't be benefiting the extra speeds. In fact, I won't be noticing the speeds much for how I use it. (which is gaming, coding, media consumption, and some 3D modeling)

I added to my desktop computer to make it faster, the installation is super easy, you need to install windows. Using windows 10 and this SSD you feel your computer flying. I use my old regular hard drive for storage since 240 GB sometimes does not hold that much media as movies and games.

the start up time is greatly improved but was wondering why i still get constant fan noise and heat with a hp amd triple core laptop???

Reloaded operating system on SSD and saw immediate results. Discovered link on another person's review that provided easy way to transition from HDD to SSD for Windows 8.1. The $10 savings thru price match made the deal even sweeter and allowed me to start the process immediately.

Upgraded notebook with this drive. Went from slow to ultra fast without any issues. Price was a little high for the SSD but performance made the difference.

Great quality SSD with read & Write speeds in excess of 500 MB/s. Really improves the speed of older PCs and laptops for a minimal investment. The included software works very well for cloning your old hard drive to the SSD also. Highly recommended.

Consistently rated at the top and always have had good luck with Samsung SSD's. You can usually find them on sale for a decent price/GB. I have used cheaper Crucial SSD's and more expensive Intel SSD's as well and have not had any issues with them either.
