old hard drive crashed so I replaced it with this new one

Easy to install do it yourself save me money item!

My computer had been running a little sluggish for a while and was in need of a tune up. I was previously running a 7,200 RPM mechanical drive with a fresh copy of Windows 10 PRO installed. I've heard good things about Samsung SSD's so when I saw this one on sale I jumped on it. This was my first experience with an SSD. Installation was a piece of cake. I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 instead of transferring data from my old drive. I did not have any issues at all. The new drive made a noticeable difference, now my computer boots much faster and runs everything nice and smooth compared to my old drive. Although this drive supports up to 6Gbps SATA connections, my motherboard only supports 3Gbps, so I'm looking forward to even more performance when I upgrade my mobo someday. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this drive. The only "Cons" i have is that it does not include a SATA cable or a bracket to fit in a 3.5 inch bay. I knew this when I bought it, however it would have been nice if it came with them.

It kept freezing. I ran diagnostics but reports to be healthy. I ended up returning this and getting the PNY SSD instead. Very disappointed with Samsung and will give me pause the next time i plan to buy a Samsung SSD.

Installation was simple as installing any other drive. I opted to restore to factory state (Windows 7 64-Bit) so I did not try to copy my previous drive contents. Computer boots up in less than 20 seconds. Fast performance.

I am not overly excited about any of it's features. The keys are actually noisy. I do not like the touch screen...too sensitive.

It won't clone the issue right lots of issues with the drivers clean install no problem so far fox it samgsum took me 4 hours

Samsung makes some of the fastest and most reliable SSD drives and this is one example. Easy to install, great read and write speeds, and Samsung Magician software easy to use.

I have this for my Windows 10 custom built computer. I put my OS on this and my bootup to ready times out at 42 seconds flat from the pressing of the power button, to fully ready to open and use programs normaly (including time to enter in 4 character password for windows 10. Such a beautiful startup speed from my old 5 minute boot up windows Vista (blek) computer handmydown my father gave me. No issue, easy setup and install. Would defiantly always recommend.

It is probably a good product but it didn't solve my problem. The laptop still freezes up.

Not sure this does anything the sales man recommend we get it

I tried to make an image of my boot drive on the SSD and not only did it crash two computers running Windows 10 but the SSD also refused access to it for reformatting. Samsung tech folks were of no help.

I purchased a new computer recently, and had this SS drive in conjunction with another HDD. It failed in 2 days. I was told later that the first one they put in died as well. I did without it.

There's no thinking on this one.. If you want to speed up your computer, But this!!.. Boots faster... Everything's faster!. MUST BUY!

The SSD would not format in my computer. Maybe it works for PCs because all the reviews I read were good. Very disappointed.

I looked at a lot of reviews before deciding on this drive. Seemed like for the money this one had the best satisfaction rating. I completely agree. My computer startup was taking 30-40 seconds after updating to windows 10 and now it takes just a few seconds and i'm up and working. It has also help greatly with load times of programs.

Upgrading to a SSD drive makes a huge difference in overall system performance.

This SSD brought a breath of fresh air into my fairly old Alienware m14 R2. What it lacks in raw storage it makes up for in blistering speed, I just got an external enclosure for the mechanical hard drive that was in my laptop and use the ssd as OS/immediate storage. If you have an older computer or just want to speed up you up to date system, get this and you won't be dissatisfied!

My 250 gb Samsung 850 EVO SSD was delivered this afternoon, just as promised by BestBuy. It was as easy to install as already reported in the other reviews. Man is it is FAST!!!!. I know that it is only a couple of hours in my machine, but i have been experimenting with it and I am VERY IMPRESSED! Only 13 seconds from hitting the on button to Desktop. That would be faster, but I have to type in my password. Once at the desktop, I can open programs instantly, no waiting for the HD to catch up. This is great!! This little SSD has breathed new life into a 6 year old ASUS K53E laptop. I want to commend both BestBuy and Samsung. Samsung made a fantastic SSD and BestBuy has provided EXCELLENT service. The only problem I for see, is convincing my wife I need a brand new Laptop this summer. :-)
