No Drive Just Jive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Most of these reviews are so short and general I think they're click farmed for the rating. Not me, Samsung's migration software doesn't work with Windows 10 (over installed on Win 7). It will not recognize the key lock on the product. Samsung knows this and doesn't have a work around yet. Funny because my Toshiba SSD worked fine without the BS. So far no luck with 3rd party software solutions, but I shouldn't have to do this.

Failed in 30 days

The computer no longer recognizes that the SSD is connected. It doesn't show in the BIOS. It as working before, but we paid to have this installed, and have windows re-installed and all this cost us money and now the ssd is defective. Samsung better refund us the cost we paid to have this put in!

Defective

Tried it 3 times and every time it stopped at 62% with "an error occured writing to the target disk." It was delivered by UPS on a very hot day (100 degrees) so it may have been damaged by the heat in transit. So, I will be returning it to my Best Buy store for credit.

CAUTION: Has one potentially fatal flaw

But the most fatal flaw is documented only in the user manual (found on the CD inside the package) which states: "OEM recovery partitions, generated at the factory by computer manufacturers, cannot be replicated." So most modern computers cannot recover from an error. I am returning this to the store for a refund.

No transfer cable included

Best Buy did not have cable an it's going to be a week before I see it. Kind of silly. I should have bought online and received both at once.
