Installed it in an Alienware 15x with Win 7. It really sped things up but with 8 MB of ram and an Intel i7 its really much faster than with the oem 500gb drive. This is my 3rd SSD drive and I think its the best of the bunch, compared to 240GB Sandisk and a 128 GB Crucial.

Replaced a old mechanical HD in a MacBook Pro. Easy to install and very fast. Very happy

If you are looking for an internal SSD boot drive; Samsung is the only way to go. I have built many computers utilizing Samsung SSD, as the primary boot drive. Never have had a complaint; even amongst all my friends. Of course if you have newer motherboard connections like an M2: My opinion is still to stick with Samsung. Very reliable, super fast performances, at an affordable price. Thank you.

I took on a new job recently and one of my first tasks was to look at the supplied laptop computer. It is a 2009 MacBook Pro. To my knowledge, the hard drive had never been replaced. So, with a bit of freeware and this Samsung SSD I clone the drive and it breathed new life into this old computer. Now, I don't use it for hardcore video or sound work, but it will multitask and run anything else just fine!

Installed on 2009 17" MAC BookPro. Compatible. Run great, made a big difference on booting up time. Best noticed when I ran Adobe PhotoShop or Illustrator. For what I spent it was worth the buy, and extended the life of my laptop.

Reliable SSD. R/W performance with small files is fast. System boots immediately.

My MacBook was starting to run slow doing everyday tasks and had wiped and reloaded the operating system. It helped a little, but still seem to slow down at times. Decided to buy a new one, but saw a good deal on this SSD, so bought it and set it up. What a difference! My MacBook runs faster than when it was new and twice the space of the old drive. Saved over $1300 not buying a new laptop.

SSD is the only way to go. No more spinning HDD waiting to crash. Of course SSD is much quicker with less power too. The best thing to do to maintain a two year old laptop. Be sure to use external keyboard, mouse and monitor too. Keep your hands off and the machine cool and it will last. Performance ratings go to the top.

This Hard drive was priced really. good. Worked out well for the laptop I put it in as well. Would recommend for anyone needing an upgrade or replacement.

Swapped out hdd with this ssd. Boot up time is lot faster. Installing was a breeze.

Works great. Very fast boot times. Huge upgrade from a standard hard drive.

Good upgrade for my desktop. Comes with disk with software to migrate HD to SSD. Doesn't come with sata cable or 2.5HD to 3.5HD carrier to mount the SSD in a desktop.

We've recently started installing these 500GB SSDs into end-users workstations and have had less issues with users running out of storage space. Typically we set Samsung SSDs for Rapid Mode using Samsung Magician software, but with the 500GB SSDs it appears that they cannot be set for Rapid Mode. However, with how fast the SSDs are, I do not believe that Rapid mode is not needed.

Installed Samsung SSD in a Sony VAIO computer. The results were immediate and as expected. The system is now responsive and good for another few years.
