Fast SSD - and Extra Fast to Crash in just 44 days. Of course it was on a Friday evening and cannot speak to Samsung until Monday. Cannot Chat with them as they do not offer Chat for SSD's. Luckily it crashed two weeks after the 30 day return period to Best Buy. Guess it is a good thing they offer 10 year warranty? But have heard they will return a refurbished unit, which will not be good on 44 day old product. Must be living on the bleeding edge, should have stuck with the Toshiba, which I can't see a real life difference in speed.

When i ran the benchmarks on the included software, the drive was slower than it's 2 year old cousin i already had in my system.. otherwise, really good drive at a good price.

Great buy for super fast SSD space, easy and clean

My Macbook Pro (Early 2011) was due for an upgrade. After upgrading my memory, programs were still slow at loading up including the boot time for my computer. Occasionally applications will not respond. So I decided to choose the 850 Pro and hoping it will last me another 5+ years before I am due for another upgrade. Installation was very easy. Backed up my Macbook on Time Machine and recovery was very easy too. After full installation, I am speechless and extremely satisfied with the investment I have made. Boot time was shed from minutes down to seconds. Applications load instantaneously as soon as you click on the icon. I will likely buy another for my desktop soon!

I have this ssd and love it. I purchased a more generic ssd of the same size with less impressive specs for my wifes laptop and can't tell the difference. I think the ssd is the way to go I just don't know that I'd spend ~$240 on this top of line Samsung or ~$140 for a more mid-tier ssd.

I went with the Pro model, since it was only a little bit more and I will have it in this computer for a long time. I am replacing a 7200 rpm Toshiba hdd with this disk. The software that came in the package to clone my old hdd worked seamlessly. I plugged the new drive into my motherboard (I provided the SATA cable), turned on my computer and launched the cloning software on the Samsung disk. The software did everything in about 20 minutes. I then rebooted into my bios and made the Samsung disk 1st priority and it booted without any problems. Windows 10 loads extremely fast and when I am playing BF1, the map load times are so much quicker. Very pleased.

Replace my hard drive in my MacBook Pro Late 2011. Like a whole new machine. OS/X Yosemite now supports TRIM. Highly recommend it.

Purchased the drive. Took it home and was concerned that Windows would boot up properly along with other applications functioning properly after swapping this drive in for the older smaller SSD. Rest assured that as long as you have the ports/cables required within your PC, the process works smoothly. My PC build has two drives, one SSD and one a classic HD. I followed all safe practices, unplugged the classic HD (Note: the Operating System is loaded on the SSD, not this drive) and plugged the new SSD in it's place. Then I ran the included software on the CD which was a simple process. It automatically recognized the old and new drive and provided the opportunity for me to verify everything was correct before it started. Once complete, I shut everything down, swapped the new SSD in for the old and plugged my classic HD back in. Everything booted right up into Windows and all of my applications are functioning correctly. I've successfully more than doubled the space available on my operating system boot drive without incurring the pain of performing a complete reinstall of Windows, my applications and data. Thank You Samsung and Best Buy!
