Have installed and used many of the Samsung EVO SSD's, going all the way back to the EVO 830 Series. I have never had a single drive error or failure with any of them, and I have probably installed at least a dozen of them. These are pretty much the only SSD's that I use both at work and at home. Highly recommended.

I have been using Samsung SSD drives for years now and love how they wake up older computers. I have replaced at least 20 drives with these and every time get fantastic results. In all the years I have been using these, I have not had a single failure.

Samsung makes the most reliable and efficient SSD. This is my 5th Samsung SSD I've bought and used to restore older laptops and desktops. Just this SSD alone gives older PCs new life and extends their usage by a few years. Well worth the investment!

The BB sale price on this was great. Picked up two for a Windows 10 CPU, both used in a RAID 1 array, for an intranet library app. Windows 10 configured both easily and a dozen local users really have no idea they are sharing a remote data structure. V-NAND is the new standard and Samsung is the trust king.

bought these for two laptops and a desktop, bought two 500gb and one 1tb versions. All have dramatically improved the functions of the PC's into which they were installed. Can't yet speak to longevity, but initial reports are all positive. Fast performance at a reasonable price.

I used this drive to revive a five-year-old iMac. I replaced the internal hard drive with this SSD and moved most of my data to an external. Great performance boost: launching Microsoft Office apps went from about 60 seconds to about 3 seconds. Cold boot went from 3-5 minutes to about 30 seconds.

Fast. This device is one of the best ssd I used. I upgraded my old mac with this ssd and it give a new life to an aging computer. Other ssd may give the same result. If you haven’t use an ssd before. You should try one and see the difference.

Old drive spent a few minutes booting up, no i hardly have to wait 15 seconds. Provides speed and quiet. Highly recommend this drive. If yoiu are going to clone a drive use the Samsung cloning software, "its free" just buy a cable to go from the USB to the drive. I tried a cloning software and it was the pits.

Lately have been upgrading all my customers and clients to SSD Drives. Definitely worth the upgrade. Adding an SSD to even the oldest PC will breathe new life into it. Never had any issue at all with Samsung SSD Drives. There are cheaper drives out there but they will not out perform this Samsung one.

Great upgrade for my laptop. It used to take 7-15 minutes to boot up, and was getting ready to buy a new laptop, but went this route instead. Now it boots up in seconds. Everything is running smoothly and glad I saved money without having to buy a new laptop.

My HP TouchSmart 520-1047c was just running too slow. I upgraded the C: Drive to this SSD by cloning my old Hard Drive, and replacing it with this. Wow! Now my All- In - One boots in just a few seconds. It's lightning fast now, and this was a a great price ($75), it just gets no better than this !

I got this drive as a replacement internal hard drive when my 9 year old HDD finally bit the dust. Replacing that old HDD with this smaller SDD has made a huge difference in the boot speed and loading speeds on my old HP computer. It used to take 5-10 minutes to boot up my computer, now with this SDD it take 7-10 seconds and I am ready to go. While it does not have as much space as your 1TB and 2TB drives out there, if you are mostly looking for an upgrade to help speed up your system, this will do the trick no problem! If you are replacing your old internal HDD with this SDD, be aware the drive is smaller, so you may need a 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adapter to make everything fit securely in your computer. But this drive also works with whatever SATA connection you already have. Overall, a great improvement for my old computer!

I replaced my older hard drive on my laptop with this Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive. My laptop boots very fast and it made great improvement on searching online, and I open many apps and pages at the same time without slowing down the speed.

I used the Samsung software for the data transfer. I had used the Apricorn cable. Apricorn software did not work but the Samsung software worked great. The cmptuer boots up 10 times faster and is a lot quieter. The original drive was about 8 years old so it will be interesting to see how long this lasts.

Samsung Magician Software download allowed easy, Operating System/Applications/Data, transfer from original HDD to new SSD. As a bonus, 1 week after purchase, a competitor advertised the drive for a lower price. Best Buy honored the price match and refunded the difference. You just can't beat that!

Purchased this Solid State Drive to replace the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) that just failed in my HP laptop computer, Computer runs faster than it ever did even when new. This is an excellent replacement for HDD drives. Was easy to remove old drive and snap in the new Samsung drive.

I purchased this for an old iMac. The iMac had the original slow hard drive, which made using the computer unbearable. After the ssd upgrade, boot time is 15 seconds and runs really well considering the age of the computer.

This is a nice little SSD. A great upgrade to replace a traditional SATA drive. If you want to add new life to an older desktop or notebook, add this as a boot/program drive and use your old drive for files. Boot times went from over a minute to under 30 seconds.

I did a lot of research and found that this solid state drive to be the most reliable and fasted consumer level drive out there on the market. I've bought several to replace mechanical "boot" hard drives. I definitely recommend it.
