Tried clowning several times, including updating the SSD firmware, but nothing worked. Each install would boot just fine but after a couple of hours of use, the system would lock up and only a hard power reset would get you out. I clowned a 500GB WD BLUE SSD and the system is working just fine. Now it is too late to return this Samsung SSD. I purchased this on 7/15/2020, received it several days later but the last day I could possibly return it was 8/1/2020.

Samsung Magician Software is not for cloning. It allows you to optimize and manage your system for peak SSD performance. It also supports RAPID mode for 2x faster performance by utilizing unused PC memory (DRAM) as high-speed cache storage.
The Samsung Data Migration Software is what you need to use to migrate all the data and applications from your existing drive to the your new SSD.

This Samsung QVO drive can hang with any SSD on the market. However, it does pose some limitations that might not be apparent from the Samsung logo. This drive is great for budget gamers as you get EVO quality speed on read performance and small file transfers. Loading times for games are incredibly fast on this drive for the cost. Real world use of this drive installed on windows or as a dedicated games library, is simply amazing. Where this QVO drive lacks is in large data transfers. If you transfer any files or combination of files over 6GB you will see speeds drop from 500MB+ to sub 80MB range. This lack of speed on massive data transfers is why I give this drive a 4 Star. This drive is for you if you are in the market for an upgrade on your current HDD and you want to save money on the build. Spend the extra $50 on the Samsung EVO if you are in the market for the best SSD with the best all around performance.
