Hard drive coping data to new SS hd was not so great. It only got 15 to 20% of hd memories transmered to new SD hd bt Geek Squad. Not adequate!

Ok hd might be betters ones out there

When i formated and initalized, instead of 4tb like the package says it only showed 3.6 tb. It still works for what i bought it for.

Please know that these drives are not delivered with mounting screws since motherboard manufacturers typically provide the specific screws and spacers that fit the proprietary needs of each motherboard.
Samsung drives also adhere to the IDEMA standard of advanced formatting, which will result in the drive appearing as less than the listed size. This is a common industry-wide standard.
The amount of space that appears to be "missing" is in fact used by the drive/card for storing firmware, metadata and spare blocks. Your operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) will also affect the usable space -- different operating systems will use different amounts of space to store their metadata. Consequently, formatted space will always be less than unformatted space.
You can look IDEMA up online for more technical details about this standard, which is established by The International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association.

If you haven't done so already, you may want to use Samsung Magician to run Performance Optimization, ensure that your motherboard supports SATA III interface, check that all performance related settings are set correctly (cached enabled, AHCI enabled), and be sure you have the latest version of the driver.

Major surgery set a person back and you cant use some purchases and need to return them. Everyone has the same price now a days. Its who does customers better now.

This will make me think twice about buying any Samsung drives ever again. Didn't even have a chance to use it to full potential or really abuse it at all.

Make sure to download the Samsung Magician before installation. My only gripe is they didn't include a usb adapter to plug the drive into during cloning of my old drive. No Matter, I have my own. Other than that, PERFECT. I am going to slam Best Buy because when I walked into the store to buy it, it wasn't there. The attendant told me "we don't keep any SSDs > 2 gig" So, I had to order it instead which cost me about $25 extra (tax). I think if you advertise an Item for sale it should be in your stock. Just Sayin'
