I purchased this to replace the failed hard drive in my computer. It made a noticeable speed difference and the computer is even better than when it was new. It uses the same connectors as the old hard drive, so it was pretty straight forward to install.

Samsung is the best brand of any type of ssd you are looking for. Faster and more reliable than anything else you can find.

Every laptop user should always immediately upgrade to SSD. If the laptop has an HDD. I am mediately upgrade to SSD. And install the operating system on SSD. I purchased an HDD enclosure and use the HDD as an external storage. U Should not use SSD for storage usage.

Great addition to my computer. Put this as my c: drive and installed Windows 10 pro . This reduced boot time , transfer and install times was reduced by 50 percent! This will depend on your setup. My favorite thing about this drive is no more noise!

I have purchased several of these over the last couple of years to upgrade our church computers responsiveness. Each time I've added the SSD users have commented how it feels like a new computer. Replacing as slow 5400rpm hard drive with an SSD does the trick. So we've been able to garner at least a couple more years of life rather than replacing the entire computer. Easy to use transfer software from Samsung. All you need is the connection cable.

I use Samsung 870 EVO drives in my PC for the Windows C drive and the Linux Mint drive. I also use them as backup devices so that I can recover my system when necessary. All computer users will be happy to have a few of these drives on hand!

I tried some cheaper alternatives. Not rock bottom, but less costly than the Samsung. I've had 4 failures after a couple of months, but not one of the Samsung's I put out have had any problem. I'm sticking with reliability.
